Approximately one mile each way through dark, moss filled, undeveloped woods filled with strange creatures and the occasional off leash dog. And I make this trek on foot for fear I will become soft and spineless like the rest of you...I mean, everyone else.

T

50 feet down the hallway, so about 5 seconds.

PAINFUL...thanks for asking.

~125 miles one way...Lincoln, Ca to Oakland, Ca - usually 2 1/2 hours or 3 @ peak traffic.

Occasionally only have to commute to Sacramento, Vallejo and rarely to San Jose. What happened to the prediction of Hoover Craft...I was expecting to be driving one by now!!!

I average about 5 to 6 hours round trip at least 3 days a week...all I can say is bless Tikiyaki Orchestra, The Martini Kings, Don Tiki, Led Zepplin, TheMarsVolta, Sade, Jesse Cook, etc. on the Bose. :)

3 miles each way, from Long Beach allllll the way to Signal Hill.
7 minutes, 10 with traffic.

each day differs.
Tues is probably only 50 or 60 miles,
but Wed. Thurs. and Fri. are close to 100 miles.
they are round trips in a big loop down to South OC on Freeways,
and back up to Anaheim on Streets while stopping at the houses to clean the pools,
So the trip takes from 4 hours to 9 hours. depending on day, and time of day.

I like driving on the open road.
Like to Nor. Cal. this past weekend,
but I hate traffic. grrrrrrr.

Vamp - I'm NOT poking fun at you but when I read about the HOOVER craft I had visions of flying vacuums!

OO...too funny...obviously I can't spell. Must be the side effect of driving too much. :)

What I need is a Tardis to get to work and home.

i heard BigToe was Retardis.....

6 miles
20 minutes
on bike

CL

10 feet from my bedroom to the next room which is my home office.

However, I drive to clients all around Nor Cal all week, so minimum of 47 -90 miles each way.

each way...

12 miles
17 minutes AM
35-40 minutes PM

35 miles too long, from Belmont Shore to Mission Viejo.
AM - 45 minutes Via PCH to the Tollroad. Great way to start off the day crusing along the coast. :)
PM - 60 minutes Via the 405 and lots of Traffic :(

Vamp this is the craziest thing...your quality of work week must be draining!

I ride my bicycle one block to work. But I have to ride against the fragrant tropical trade-winds when returning home--- or going past home, and straight to the beach. Sometimes I play hooky and don't go anywhere. It's very complicated.

4.3 Lightyears from my planet to yours.

You know that planet in that movie "Avatar" well it's real & I am from there
And it is totally cool, so suck it.

but we are not 10 feet tall or blue.

5.8 miles each way, but when the company moves its world HQ, it will be 2 1/2

3 miles door-to-door, or about 5 minutes on a bad day and when school is in.

I'd walk or ride my bike, but there's no place close for lunch, and I'm not one to depend on others when food is involved. There's talk of moving our location within the next 6-9 months, so this will change for the worst.

nice. do they serve drinks on that flight???

Ten minutes straight down a freeway - 8 minutes if I'm in a Speed Racer mood.

32 minutes in the A.M. (or 35 minutes if I stop at the HESS and get the XL Dunkin Donuts coffee)

45 minutes in the P.M. (or 55 minutes on Thursdays, if I stop at the classic car get together at the Quaker Steak & Lube, and hob-knob with the gear heads).

48 miles each way
From Thousand Oaks through the San Fernando Valley (101) to the Sepulveda Pass (405) to LAX. Arguably the busiest intersection in the country.
I leave at 4 am so the trip takes 1 hour but coming home at 4 pm takes 1.5 hours.
Just grateful to have a job...

From here on add what you do for a living.
I am a Carpenter for the City of Los Angeles at the Hyperion Sewer Treatment Plant

17-20 minutes in the AM. 25-30 minutes in the PM.

5.8 miles each way, becoming 3.0 miles each way with the new company relocation in the 2nd week of January.

It was much worse at other facilities in the past. Bout time it was this close.

Z

Back when I was in pure admin. 120 miles each way every day from Tucson to Phoenix and Back again. Now that I've gone back to primarily clinical 50 miles each way from Casa Grande to Santa Rosa and back

4

I drive 20 miles to work, and 20 miles back, but it's beautiful non-freeway driving. The best part is going right by the Coco Palms Resort twice a day. 8)

F

90 miles each way.

Two hours in the morning.
Two and a half to three (or more on occasion) in the evening.

That's why I don't post much these days. Alas.
