congatiki -

Like, freakin whoa! wow! what the f***!

Spectacular gallery of "congatiki" especially when all brought together in one spot, one after the other like this!

Your style, choice of wood(s), execution and finishes are to be admired for years to come...great body of work, sir.

Thanks for posting - again!!!

killer stuff conga! it's awesome to see them all in one post. keep your mind and hands goin' braddah!

Conga, I love all the animals. I haven't noticed that in other TC artist's carvings.

what the f**K indeed!
those first two....DAYAM!!!!!!
and that plaque..nice!
it's cool how your work ranges from traditional to almost abstract...
Glad you posted here...as Other crafts posts would take up most of my time
Hail 3-D!

Your art makes me want to stop working clay and to break out the chisels. Inspiring. Excellent work. Wendy

WOW! Absolutely STUNNING! What gorgeous pieces! Love the PNG looking bird!

Mahalo to all of you, TikiG, Bullet, MadDog, LLT, Wendy, Babalu, Tobunga and Grog!
All the lurkers too.

Funny, I had been thinking of abandoning polynesian-inspired carvings to
concentrate on other subjects that might be more appealing in the deep northwoods
of Wisconsin. Beans to that, TC is my carving-art-family and that's where
I'm staying. I can't turn back now after getting an A+ from Grog :)

Dude, what TikiG said. I've watched your thread since its inception, and now I finally own one of your creations. I'm thinkin' he's gonna need a buddy one of these days, probably next winter when he realizes he hasn't seen any snow here in San Jose!

Realy nice work ya got there Very kool .

Amazing work, conga rocks!

Conga presents "The Last Of The Moaihicans."

H

Conga, I love your unique style of carving, I also love all the colors you use in these pieces. These pieces would look good in any setting inside or outside. Keep carving, love the last Moaihican.

Thanks a lot Hilltiki, for your recent post and other "artist support" over
the years.
Here's a little bump for something new.....

Also added to first post in thread.....thanks for peeking in to Congas Corner.

Conga carve good. Very different than other tiki carvings GROG see on TC. GROG like.

Conga thank Grog for nice words.
Conga like to meet Grog sometime, when Grog coming
to Wisconsin? We have good sausage and cheese
here.

Love the feet pointed inward!
the way the light shines off him!
Wonderful expression!
Your quirkiness adds personality and life to these!
they make me smile!

Thanks Mr. Ruzic.
Spent the last hour plus digging your gallery pics and the related links.
If my little bugger makes you smile that's enough for me :)

Add my name to the list . . . another Conga fan!

Excellent work man! very impressed, what wood are you using? Funny to see snow on your carvings,,,,,,,,, bit incongruous!

Thanks Amate, you know that I'm a fan of yours too!

Shalumboomba, welcome to TC and thank you too, great user name by the
way :)
Appreciate your comments, most of my stuff is Wisconsin basswood, nice to
carve and easy to get. Hope you enjoy your time at Tiki Central.

B

Conga, Man-oh-Man it's Great to see so much of your stuff all together here. It's hard to realize how much you have carved and you're just Now getting started?
Awesome stuff my Friend!

Great original style conga. I'll call it Afriindianesian.

C

Thanks Cy :)
I doesn't matter to me what you call it, just happy that
you like it. Your description is pretty accurate, lots of
influences blending together.
Thanks Zero....your painting looks great in my lounge too.
Spring is here in Wisconsin, finally, more "stuff" coming soon.

While I am positive that i have commented and aspired from many of these pieces in the carving forum, I had not viewed this until today.

The level of craftsmanship is way high as are the finishes. Absolutely brilliant.

Thank you for sharing and I apologize for not seeing this sooner.

Mahalo
