@ congatiki: its about 1.60 meter tall.
@ For the love of tiki: unfortunately not for this piece.i started so fast with my chainsaw i had no time to record it(it was a chainsaw massacre!).next time i will take time to set up the videocamera.

always try to give my best on carving tikis, not just only carve .as one should perform the haka with spirit, i put my spirit into carving! :)

WAY Excellent stuff RIOT, Love the detail and finish!

here a little try on carving some wastewood. never knew what to do with small squared timber pieces.
maybe i apply a piece of metal to the bottom for a better stand.

most of mine started as smalll squared pieces, just start chipping...

hi my friends,
Long time ago i started this piece, styled like the traditional Maori "TekoTeko".
Today, after an endless period of sanding and staining ,i oiled the Tekoteko for the first time.
super smooth surface and wonderfull color!
