playing with rope and old bottles....

I've started making a few things to decorate the home lounge. I'm learning how to do rope netting on bottles... here's my first effort!

I included a carry handle, and the cork has a safety line so it won't get lost on rough seas!

Hey that's a nice looking net job there! Thanks for sharing the picture. I just got 1200 feet of quarter inch manila myself. Going to learn to tie nets myself.

Chris

Traderpup, very cool!
You can probably get some knot-tying ideas from the Knotical Art booth at Crafted in San Pedro. The man that is the artist/tug boat worker also takes custom orders.

The Maritime Museum in San Pedro has some examples of knot boards and art that sailors have made while out at sea. It's a cool small museum to visit if you've never been.
Diving locker at the museum.

Looks great Pup. I like the larger rope. I did one a while ago with smaller twine but I like yours better

Great Job!
I have never tied a bottle yet.
Always wanted to.
Here's one I have in my tiki room, Again not my tie job.

Lights for home and
commercial TIKI bars.

I picked up a few project supplies at the swap meet this past weekend... soon to be netted, some turned into lamps!

Man, great find!

Traderpup- wow, killer finds
My guess is about 1500 feet of rope will be needed for all that
:)
Have fun and keep us posted
