Which one did the writer say was tiki? I looked and could not find that description anywhere in the story. Those are very cool bars, though. I especially like the decor in the thai-style bar.

The Louisville, Ky bar...El Camino...."flaming bowls of Tiki concoctions"...oh my!...OGR

ahhhhh....must have missed that!

Looking at the facebook page there is a tiki influence, but not tiki. More Cabo inspired. Lots of Day of the Dead and Nacho Libre which is pretty cool and unusual to see in Kentucky.

Honeycut has balls! ( just not the right type!!!

" a ceiling made up of 1,500 reflective, slowly swaying balls."

Ah well. Bummer. I have no qualms with a place serving "tiki drinks", so long as they don't further claim themselves a "tiki bar"... which it doesn't look like El Camino does too terribly much. A mexican flaired beach bar could be a fun time though, and hell... they may even serve a drink you might like.

That Whiskey Library is kind of interesting...might not be a good idea to climb the ladder to reach the top shelf if you become well read while you are there.

HOLY CRAP! We have a whiskey library? I have to check this out! Wait, it's down town? Fancy booze? Ah man, it's gonna be hipster central. If I'm going down town, I'm hitting Trader Vic's instead.
