Hilo Lei Day Festivalʻs Pop-up Tiki Bar

Pages: 1 2 replies

This nifty pop-up tiki bar was designed and built by our dear friend Kevan for the opening of "The Haumana" at the historic Palace Theater in Hilo. Since then, Kevan and henchman Galyn have graciously assembled and manned it each year for our Hilo Lei Day Festival. It is made from locally grown bamboo and salvaged lumber. Pix show it in progress and in use.

Not nearly as elaborate as what you folks are building, but it all fits into a small pickup, can be assembled by one person, and is easy to decorate!

Love it! The portability is great, and the flora makes it feel welcoming. Nice job.

Mahalo! I gotta credit the super awesome Kevan, Chief Menehune, and his henchman, Galyn! As Festival Director, I just tell them what effect I want, and they make it happen!
