I’m starting the process of writing a book documenting the last 35-40ish years of the tiki revival. I know there has been many books and magazines that have covered the revival to some degree but I’m hoping to only focus on this. Is anyone aware of a similar project being done? I’ve looked around and asked a number of people but before I start out fully I wanted to ask again. The intent of the book is to capture what it was like in the early days, how people documented their discoveries and the DIY aspect of the early days. Thanks for your inputs |

While not a book on the Tiki revival, Tiki Tom-Tom has written a book (available at Polynesiacs.com) that focuses primarily on home Tiki bars, and most of them have been built in the span you're talking about. So, it naturally discusses the Tiki revival too. I have a copy of the book, and it's FUN! |

I love this book! I think it’s a fantastic angle on documenting the revival. It definitely depicts a lot of the artists I would want to write about. I’m hoping to write something chronological about the revival |
