Tommy Bahama mugs

The 2007 "Bikini Bongo" tumblers are now out! I picked one up today at the Tommy Bahama store in Palm Desert.

Like previous years the mug is done beautifully and is well worth adding to your collection. This year's mug comes in various shades of green with a redheaded hula girl surrounded by tropical leaves and plumeria flowers, with a bongo and ukulele at her feet.

The text "RELAX" appears twice on the mug. I would have preferred the mug without text, but it's okay I guess. :)

I found 3 in a antique store today, 2002-2003-2004, only bought 1 as they were $20 each and wasn't sure what they were worth...

Wow Stiki nice find! I wish I could get a hold of the '02 and '04 mugs...they are offered up on eBay occasionally but at outrageous prices sometimes.

Scaraba~Got something to trade for a 2004, I might be able to go get the 2002 next week.

I bought the 2003 and 2004 mugs at the Tommy Bahama store in Atlanta last year and they were $14 each, so $20 isn't too outrageous. Hope that helps.

I picked up my 2007 mug today and found another item I just had to get also. They had a lamp based on the first Tommy Bahama Mug (2002). There were only two in the store at the Paseo Mall Pasadena location. I bought one. It was $45 and is twice as big as the original mug and nearly identical. Pics below.

Is there a 2008 edition of the Tommy Bahama mug?

I stopped in at a local Tommy Bahama store about 3 weeks ago - they did not have any 2008 mugs. The clerk said he had no idea whether a new mug was going to be released.

Yeah, I get their web specials e-mails and have been keeping an eye on the website to see if an '08 mug will be coming out.

The website still has the 2007 mug for purchase.

It's a bummer they let their hula girl mug series lapse. However, they just put out some really nice hula girl frosted hiball glasses and matching shotglasses.

I picked up a set of the hiballs. $60 for a set of 4.

i just got Tommy Bahama 2006 Paradise Beach mug from ebay and it is slightly bigger than all the others. It's 1/8th-1/4 inch taller and 1/8th inch bigger in diameter. Are all the 2006's that way, or is it just mine. Would love some feedback on this.
