the Moderators (I had to add the "Squid" on the end to make it a Haiku. Buson often did this as well in the 17th century, so I think it's valid. Please reference the following Buson haiku; "Winter Storm":) A lightning flash- Sabu |

Please state your answer in the form of a Haiku with no reference to that tired old "when" joke or any reference to the fact that Grog is folically challenged. NO! |

That is bloody gorgeous Haiku Sabu!!! Buson point taken and accepted. Unfortunetely you did not specify WHICH thread is the more terrifyingest of them all. Please try again. And remember, Grog and LLT are the deciders. Sucking up to Squid will get you nowhere quick on this one. Feel free to show up and buy me a beer anyway or give me the beer that you get from Soccer. |

I haven't read "The Horror That Is The Beatles" thread but if it cites the songs "This Boy" or "Three Cool Cats" as examples I might agree. I'm going to try and make it on Friday but it won't be until after the Free Beer! window has closed. |

My but we had a flurry of entries in our Haiku competition. Each one had its own merits, except Ben's, which made it a very difficult decision. However Grog and I based our final decision on the following criteria: So let's review the rules and stuff, shall we?
Here goes: Please state your answer in the form of a Haiku with no reference to that tired old "when" joke or any reference to the fact that Grog is folically challenged. FIRST PLACE AND GRAND CHAMPION: SOCCERTIKI for this little gem: A shot in the arm SECOND PLACE (Gets to buy me a shot) SABU (Check's in the mail eh, Boris???) O my blood runs cold Yeah, yeah, totally off topic but y'know what? This is all a big ruse to get people to the Catalina Fish Kitchen Honorable Mentions go to: JENTIKI A shot in the arm? Wow, we really dug the way the last word just lingers, kind of like the final piano chord on A Day In The Life on TEAKEY (the squid re-mix) ...REMEBER, MY THREAD, MY RULES. Train crash in my head GROG and SQUID Syllables lacking Actually, we just wanted to see that one in print one more time. Thanks for playing our little game. Now on to more important distractions from real world events. IT'S A NEW COMPETITION!!!! Get out your Photoshop kids! It's time to whip up a new.... SMOKIN' MENEHUNES ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN. Rules: *500 x 500 pixels max. (please refer to Jen's Haiku)
Smokin' Menehunes PRIZES: What? You want a stinkin' prize for everything? Why don't you ask Ben to donate a prize? This time the designated judges are Jentiki and Grog. I will be the tie-breaker. Entries must be posted no later than Thursday Dec 21, 11:30 PM PST. All entries become the property of squidlabs, ink. and Amalgamated International Grogworks. LET'S ROLL!!!! |
