Tiki Caliente 2 Schedule of Events

Friday June 4th
Check in….Will be your first look at the Art show called “Primitive Pop” that will be displayed in the Lobby. Original Art by Derek Yaniger,Doug Horne,Sam Gambino,Robb Hamel. This Art will be on display all weekend long.

Check in ….Rooms,wristbands and Mug’s will be available at the front desk for people who prepaid and have a room on grounds.

Pick-up of mug’s and wristbands for people staying offsite will be in the lobby till 3p.m.
And the tiki-caliente tent after that.

+D.J. Jeff (Big Tiki Dude) will be spinning the tune all day starting at 1p.m.
+Hula Girls Live 2pm-4pm early bird special……….get here before the full crowd shows up.
+Hula Girls Live 6p.m.-7:30p.m. Live from the lawn area
+Eliminators Live 8p.m.-9:45p.m. Live from the Lawn area
+Room Crawl Before and after Bands play.
+Bar will be open Till 2a.m. with the tunes setting the tone.

Saturday June 5th
+Vending from 9a.m.-6p.m. (Open to the public)
+D.J. Jeff (Big Tiki Dude) will be spinning the tunes all day starting at 9a.m.
+Eliminators Live on the Lawn from 11;45-1:30
+Martini Kings Live at the Lawn from 2;30-4;00
+Tiki Fashion Show hosted by Cherry Capri 5p.m.
6p.m. close to the public
+Martini Kings with Cherri Capri from 6:45-8:15 Live from the pool.
+Tikiyaki Orchestra live from the Lawn 8;30-10;30p.m.
+Room crawl before and after bands.
+Bar will be open till 2a.m. with Jeff (Big Tiki Dude) setting the tone again

Sunday June 6th

+Vending from 9a.m-7p.m.
+D.J. Jeff(Big Tiki Dude)Setting the tone between bands.
+Slacktone live 11p.m.-3p.m.(D.J. During Break)
+Outerwave live 4;00p.m. till 7p.m.(D.J. During Break)

This is a very loose schedule and may change at anytime. We want to move with the feel of the crowd.

Drink specials and other promotions will be taking place during this time and will be communicated over the P.A. system,.

I just booked a room for Sunday the 6th and it was only 40 bones for a deluxe king! We'll probably stay at my girlfriends parents house in Indio on the 5th.

Hi Rory,

Have you started to look into live entertainment? A cannibal act would be cool but maybe a little too risky considering the legalities and all. So for something that might work, there's a guy I've known for 33 years and he does an "animal" show similar to the routine shown below.

Well? Would this cut the mustard? Would this meet expectations? I think it's a hoot! Just don't let PETA hear about it.
If he passes your approval process and he accepts your offer, you could either get him on the main-stage at Tiki Calliente or if not that, he could go table to table for an up-close and personal demonstration. I hear he can acquire larvae and grubs even WAY BIGGER than what's in the vid. Guests would also be welcome to try one for themselves and bibs would be provided.

After Tiki Caliente was such a huge success, Rory (Wildsville Man) asked Doug Horne to create some art reflecting one of his tikis with Rory's signature Pith Helmet and Elvis glasses . Doug got right on it and this was produced .

Now that Tiki Caliente II is on Rory asked me to reproduce Doug's art in a Koa wood pendant . Its hard enough carving Doug's art into a full size tiki like I did for TC 1 recreating the poster tiki for the show. But now I had to reduce his masterpiece for a necklace. Its 4 1/2" tall and I even sliced my index finger trying to put all Doug's details in such a small carving . I hope I did you justice Doug .

I will be filling in the Gaps Dj ing (Hawaiian, Exotica, and Surf) for the weekend, Fri. Sat. and Sun.

Hana Hou! Tiki Caliente 1 was such a blast! Cant wait for the sequel! Rory is the consumate host and knows how to create a fun ambiance. Its going to be sizzling in June so its optimal for consuming beverages poolside while listening to the Martini Kings and The Hula Girls. The anticipation is definitely building! No such thing as June gloom in da springs!

The Caliente Tropics is Dog friendly so yes you can bring Dog,But you need to book the rooms through http://www.tiki-caliente.com after 2/6/2010 and then call the resort I week later to add on your dog.

(it will take me 1 week to transfer all the reservations to the resort

There is size restrictions and you need to be on the bottom floor.

I also believe they will charge you 20 dollars a night.

Martina will be in the house!!!!!!
