I'm driving 300 miles straight from Mammoth to the Tonga Hut !! (with a car load full of unwilling cranky tired snowboarders) :)

Will this still be going on at 8pm ? What time is the Hula Girls' last set ?

Also can we take cocktails out into the parking lot ? I didn't even know the TH had a parking lot. I guess that's why I can always find street parking right in front.

John-O. Yep, we'll still have the drinkers drinking at 8pm, but the parking lot artists and vendors will probably be packed up, and The Hula Girls will be done. We'll have Marty Lush DJing and probably Jeremy singing "Big Brown Nut". Maybe we can sneak a few tables into the Tonga Hut and continue some of the art sale. We'll see. We've never done this before, so we're making it up as we go.I don't think you can take drinks out into the parking lot.

GROG have a couple of hand-built mugs in the kiln bisque firing. Tomorrow GROG do glaze fire, and if all goes well, then GROG will have some Java Bobs, Moai Salt and Pepper Shakers, and a couple of hand-built Moai mugs. Right now GROG just waiting for bro-inlaw to call so GROG can pick up dremel to bore out holes in salt and pepper shakers so that GROG can get them glazed today. Something always happens that things end up coming right down to the wire to get finished in time!

I'm so bad about posting stuff, I just don't seem to have the time... but here's something I'll have on hand for the parking lot sale...

I've created a new framed vinyl tiki map. This time it's Rarotonga, "capitol" of the Cook Islands, complete with a tangaroa tiki. Map measures 11"x17".

It's the prize in my Great Rarotonga Raffle.
There are 50 tickets, and each ticket consists of a 4"x 6" numbered, hand-rubbed linoblock print of the map (suitable for framing!) and a 2" resin tangaroa face pendant. Tickets are 10.00 each.

So even if you don't win the map, you still get some fun art fer yer 10 bucks!

I'm working on lots of other stuff, but so far have not even had time to photograph anything else! I'll try to post more stuff soon!
