Ben, you know I would do a hut for you guys. When I escape the ol'e corporate life and have more flexibility to move about (soon!) I will avail myself if you are serious. The waterfall/pond has about 57 actual hours in it (curetime not included) The hut I imagine (remember! It is fortified/wind resistant underneath the grass and Palapa) would take 80 solid hours (curetimes and Home Depot runs not included) provided all of the materials & Rum were there. An abbreviated (smaller scale) shell of each could be done in 3 or so weekends. Or, I could send you some 'A' sized detailed drawings from which a Port St. Lucie contractor and his crew or 8 could do it all in 3 days lol. Thanks for the comps Ben. You & Sherrie are always welcome at McTiki's. Always! Mahalo McTiki |

Oh my..... Ok, so.... I attacked the vegetation of the waterfall and pond adjacent to the hut. Before: After: Coconuts are in the beds around the pond to discourage critters. It works! Installing some bubbles and LED lighting to the pond for evenings. I'll start on the hut next. Heres a shot of the hut in "top down" mode for rain. Here is the current pic of the BBQ Hut on the other side of the pool... Mahalo for looking! McTiki Tis a brave man who wears the kilt in January. [ Edited by: McTiki 2013-01-07 11:26 ] |

Now I see where you get the panel inspiration from. And what kind of kritters does the coconuts keep out & why? |

LOL.... yeah, I have always liked those holed leaves. And waterfalls.. The coconuts make it impossible to walk near the waters edge if you have 4 legs, much less two. We get an occasional Coon that views the menu from time to time. And cats. Mahalo! Mctiki |

Hence the foliaged top to hide the finned ones from the winged ones! But, yeah, one morning, I had a heron eyeballing the fish from the deck. McTiki |
