Apparently some of our newsletter transmissions were intercepted by scientists on the planet Munimula. We have recieved some telepathic indications that a small expedition of flying saucers is headed down to PKNY tonight, Tuesday, October 23. We have prepared some background music hopefully familiar to the Munimulans to help make them feel relaxed. I thought it a good move as it was difficult to read their intent through the tone of their communique. I wonder if they celebrate Halloween on Munimula. Hope so! This does suck, but like everyone else, we are looking forward to the new incarnation, "Asphalt Jungle." And we have been assured that we will continue to bring Exotica to the new place - and potentially even in greater capacity. In the meantime, come on down! This just in from DJ Saiko Mikan: "HELLO TIKI - I'll be spinning the Exotica loving-sounds of Japanese lounge-pop at PKNY one last time tonight. The bar is closing in two weeks, so come to enjoy NY's finest tropical libations and zoom away on a flying saucer marked "Made In Japan." Sadly, PKNY will be closing it's Essex Street address after Saturday July 20 (technically 4:00 a.m. Sunday, the 21st). We are looking forward to the new incarnation, "Asphalt Jungle!"
