my roomie asked me to post this for her....

Oasis is over…and what a blast it was!

Voice is STILL not 100% from Los Straitjackets & Big Sandy, Vantiki’s killer pendants are dangling from my neck, Bowana’s moai mug has a proud space on my shelf, still recovering from drinking all those sour samples during Martin’s symposium, been adding new friends met while volunteering to my Facebook and trying to figure out why I am not still surrounded by so many people I adore partying their butts off with me!

I am surprised that so many people don’t just have fun/make friends/enjoy Oasis for what it is. Sure there are going to be things you aren’t into and there are going to be unexpected issues but hey..things do happen. As for…

Burlesque – if they are not your kids and the dancers don’t protest dancing in front of them then I say don’t worry about it. Too bad La Cholita (there was some talk she was booked) was not shakin’ her money maker up there this year—she would have had some of the adults blushing with her antics!

Kids – I don’t have kids. If I did I would never bring them to a weekend like Oasis. Or like Ohana. Or like Viva Las Vegas for that matter. The weekend is about one thing – partying. Sure you can throw in vendors and car shows and bands but guess what I won’t edit my antics because you don’t want your kid to be subject to rowdy behavior. I will however give you a dirty look and nasty words when you try to bring them into a room party at 2am. You can’t have it both ways…you either make your weekend adult or you make your weekend about your kids.I know when I see Otto out at a party at 3am his kids will never be with him. Its called being a responsible parent. Know that if you want to bring your kids to the event then its your responsibilty to MANAGE your children. Adults are coming there for escapism—not to play babysitter to strangers kids while they are no where to be found. (this seems to be happening every year more and more)

Hotel-If you don’t want to stay at The Crowne because its too expensive or because rowdy partiers won’t be quiet or because there may or may not be a rooster/drummer/fire alarm incident in the future then there are plenty of hotels around that area and of course you can stay at the sister hotels Tiki Oasis works with. Plenty of people do since they are only in their room to shower/sleep and would rather save their money on things like booze and tiki goods from the vendors.

Food-If you don’t like the food prices or the food offered bring your own. Our room had breakfast noshes and easy sandwhich fixings that came in handy when we rolled into bed at 4am and realized we were starving. Plus I have two words of advice for you next year – BLOODY MARY. At the sushi bar Chris (who pretty much rocks every year) can make you the best of both worlds – a meal and booze – which will have you forgetting you even wanted a hamburger in the first place.
Until additional options are offered either deal with the food issue or make other arrangements.

I am sure you have had to do something on vacation before when the hotel you stayed at was not to your liking. Adapt people!

Someone mentioned a non-aloholic drink bar. I think this would be AWESOME. Especially when the weekend is on the warm side.

Theme – who cares. Seriously. If Tiki Oasis were the same every year people would get bored and complain it was too much of the same thing all the time. Variety is the spice of tiki. The theme is nothing more than to have a jumping off point for ridiculous fun such as moustache contests, zombie makeup classes, marching band entrances, etc. If you don’t like the theme and base not going around it GREAT..then no one will have to listen to you complain!

How awesome is it that there are events such as Oasis/Caliente/Ohana/etc??? How lucky are we that people who have their fun boozing it up and collecting dusty ceramics get to party at so many different types of events and meet more and more new friends every year. Give me every gathering---fly me to them all. Let me say hi to my NorCal friends and to my SoCal friends..to the folks in NY and to those at the Mai Kai…lets go party in the desert or hell head off to the slopes for ski tiki. Just give me a mai tai and a reason to throw on a loud Hawaiian shirt and lets do this!

Few honorable mentions..Sleestak your band KILLED IT wandering the hallways, Tiki Hell your pufferfish disco ball was ridiculously awesome, Ikabod rocked as volunteer coordinator, Sabu really DOES have the biggest cactus of them all, Holden – you were missed at Oasis but your warehouse sale was a great way to kick off the weekend, and to Otto and Baby Doe you pretty much deal with 11.5 months of planning for our 1 weekend of partying. THANK YOU!

If people want to complain and aren’t happy with this and that and decide they don’t want to go…

GUESS WHAT?? Plenty of others will take your place and have the fun you are missing out on next year.

See you all at Tiki Oasis 2012 – how many more days until?

"So Kapu, what are you drinking tonight?"

"Why, 3 Dots and a Dash, good sir!"

My two cents worth.....

As a 4 time Oasis attendee, I've made many observations, made many friends.drank a lot of adult beverages and had the time of my life 4 times.
There always seems to be some little issue afterward to bring a dark cloud over my post Oasis bliss, but that's all it is..a minor issue.
I don't think that anything that happened will deter me from returning...the benefits outweigh the deterrents.....where else can one see friends that only come together once a year, meet new friends from all over the country and even other country's....share an adult beverage in a room party that the hosts put their time and and expense to entertain a large group of people ,many of witch they have never met and expect nothing in return except to see you having a great time..... where else can you go and see a man in a suit with a rooster under his arm and hear a bevy of jokes about said appendage......a mad drummer.....a fire alarm at 3;30 am ...that time is still under discussion, a guy named Al with more energy than humanly possible....mermaids ...classic cars..whipped cream covered women..awesome bands and dancing girls...talented artists . the list could go on for pages yet it was crammed into three days for me.
OH. kids watching burlesque....that's the parents call...I was raised in Santa Cruz in the 60's and 70's...i saw a little of everything..i turned out OK.i think
It all comes down to this for me...The people you meet,The friends that you make, the memories that you go home with.and all the things strange and quirky that happened like the aforementioned that we get to talk and laugh about when we return to our daily routine.....end result ....Priceless....It's what makes Tiki Oasis what it is..Its what make new people want to come...Nay..envious that you went..

Thank You Otto
thank you Baby Doe

I had a blast

My two cents......see you next year..

I do agree starting the more "adult" entertainment after, say 9pm, is a good idea, so those who don't want their kids to see it can remove them... Or even move the burlesque to an inside room that is "adults only." ~ Terra S.

There you go, a perfectly reasonable compromise. That way, only the people who WANT to see it, will see it. And it just may be better for the ladies, because they'll have a little better security, and not get cold, either.

Sombreros off to Baby Doe and Otto for another amazing Tiki Oasis event. We had the best time yet. The theme was wonderful and the Herb Alpert music brought back a flood of memories as my parents played it all the time.

I hate to rant on TC but I just have to put my 2 cents in here.
My boyfriend and I are in the camp that feel children present during the burlesque acts is inappropriate. Regardless of whether the parents feel it is healthy to expose their kids to this it is generally considered socially unacceptable. It makes most of us adults uncomfortable and dampens our experience. If this were a more commercialized event I'm fairly certain that would never fly. More importantly, it is not fair to the performers who probably rarely have to deal with this except at Oasis. I wonder if they have to temper their acts because of the very obvious handful of kids staring right up their crotches. This topic has been bantered around after every Oasis and these parents continue to ignore these concerns which in my opinion is incredibly rude. It's Tiki Oasis, not Woodstock.

Despite this one thorn we could not have had a better time.

Aloha and mahalo to all the organizers and volunteers who work so hard.

Darilyn and Brian

Roosters? Fire Alarms going off at 3:00am? Party crashers? Sounds like Tiki Oasis should be made into a documentary film! Sounds wild! Glad most of you had a good time!

the kids see more skin at the pool than on the stage.... just sayin.... maybe they shouldnt swim after 10 am???? ITS A FAMILY EVENT PEOPLE!!! i remember going to hawaii as a kid in the 70's , and all of the shows with hula girls and savage dancers were also family events. talk about seeing a lot of skin. and with coconut bras and guys with merely enough grass to cover the ass! or people rocking banana hammocks!!! this thread reminds me of one i read along time ago referring to how kids shouldnt be able to run around in disneyland, and parents should really keep them on a short leash!!! its disneyland!!! its fun for kids!!! tiki oasis is also fun for kids!!! my son talks about it all year and tells all his friends about it, and its OUR vacation together! again my son is generally in the room by 9pm anyhow, but trying to make this a 21 and up show will demolish a major number of repeat customers and allow more of the unwanted guests to occupy space!!! "BABY THE WORLD AINT ROUND , ITS SQUARE!!!"

I've attended almost every TO since the first one in Palm Springs(before I had kids) and every year there have been activities geared toward kids (thanks King K!), so it's no surprise that families attend TO every year. Gotta always love people without kids offering parenting advice... I was sad to miss this year, but it sounds like it's turning into a bitch fest. If TO is meant to be adults only, Otto should make that clear from the get-go.

TM

Sorry to be Mr. Conservative, but I am in the camp FIRMLY that believes children should not be present at tiki oasis. I am sure I will be flamed for this, but so be it. There are plenty of places for families to go other then an event with possibly more drinking then most fraternities, and burlesque, which is simply a classy and vintage form of stripping, but stripping none the less. I don't have any problem with the human body or consuming vast amounts of alcohol, but kids have no place being around that until they are old enough to understand. There is always disneyland where the kids can run amok and destroy everyone else's good time. But save some events for adults. We need good times too. Needless to say, nothing will stop me from attending future Oasis. It's a very fun and well run event.

Excellent point! I saw a cute girl in the pool having bikini top issues. So, if I got a good view, you know all the kiddos did too. Parents; warning! Don't take your children to France or Italy ! You'll see more topless girls in one hour, at the beach, then you will during an entire T.O weekend! While in England never let them watch TV commercials! AND What ever you do. Never let them leaf through old National Geographic magazines! There are colored glossy images of topless native women!

You have to make room for all the aspects of the TO experience. It's never going to be perfect for everyone. I think that it's pretty darn close to "going off without a hitch". But just like TV; If you don't like what's on one channel- turn it.
I for one LOVE the drunken hordes roaming around the hotel at night! Thats exciting and buzzing with adventure. You never know what is going to happen next. Will it be good, fun, or horrible? Who am I going to meet next that is completely hammered and uninhibited? Happy or angry? Thats why I go!! If it was all shopping, symposiums, and organized fun, I'd skip it. Please leave room for folks like me too.

Hula is not a sexual dance, Burlesque is by far. It's sole intent is to stir sexual urges. Burlesque has never been a family event. An analogy would be viewing nude art vs. pornography, both have the same subjects but convey different messages. Not suggesting that Oasis become adults only (that could be disastrous), simply suggesting that the kids not allowed front and center for the sexually arousing strip shows. It's a buzz kill.

Thanks for allowing me to voice my opinion that I believe is shared by many.

Respectfully,
Darilyn

Gonna go with Sleestak on this one. For everyone who has complaints... I'm sure they are being noted. As far as the event goes... it rules. If the event remains the same as it has been for many years now, and the things that people are disagreeing on haven't changed for the people complaining, and they don't change I would suggest not attending. If things do bug you, deal with it. I'm so tired of watching people work so hard to make an event go well just to have others nit-pick anything that they don't agree with. Look, you all know what the event is. You know what to expect. If someone has a problem with the way I deal with my children please express it to me directly and I will gladly do my best to prove that there is no negative impact being made. Like I said before I understand both sides of the argument. People are just going to have to agree to disagree without name calling or getting mad. If a dancer isn't comfortable then maybe she shouldn't perform. Everyone should, by now, know what they are in for. I had a wonderful time at Tiki Oasis. My family had a great time as well. Otto and Baby Doe and all the volunteers kicked serious butt. I want to express how great it is getting to see so many people every year that I don't get to see otherwise.
All this drama is pointless. Let's focus on the positive. After all we're here for a good time, not a long time.
Peace with every step.

I also wanted to add that Sandra Dee's opinion in her post on Kids is pretty damn smart. Added this which caused an edit.

Really? I guess the organizers of the Merrie Monarch Festival better start letting all the Halau know they better stop using all those pesky Mele Ma'i (procreation chants).

CA

sad i'm doing this on a friday night... but Bongs Band at Don's last night and Purple Orchid tomorrow... i'm stayin' local tonight.

anyway... a quick google got me some good fun as i had some inkling of the importance of sexuality to the Tahitians.. now that is not Hawaii but Tikis come from Tahiti right not Hawaii... bla bla bla

anyway this found here:
http://www2.hu-berlin.de/sexology/ATLAS_EN/html/sex_and_society.html

"... For example, when Captain Cook came to Tahiti he was greatly surprised to find that the Tahitians had sexual intercourse in public and "gratified every appetite and passion before witnesses". Thus, he reported in his Account of a Voyage Around the World (1769):

“A young man, nearly six feet high, performed the rites of Venus with a little girl about 11 or 12 years of age, before several of our people and a great number of natives, without the least sense of its being indecent or improper, but, as appeared, in perfect conformity to the custom of the place. Among the spectators were several women of superior rank who . . . gave instructions to the girl how to perform her part, which, young as she was, she did not seem much to stand in need of.”

Well... thanks Missionaries for righting all the wrongs and putting tops on those crazy Tahitian Dancers. (I do believe that all original dances were topless and nude... with kids present) Hula? i think it was almost squashed by the missionaries too and dumbed down for 'our' sensibilities.... but that is more google-ing fun...

ah? the article follows with this:
In spite of his consternation, however, Captain Cook apparently kept his composure and did not try to stop the performance. After all, he was not a moral crusader, but a practical Englishman, a seasoned world traveler, and a son of the Age of Enlightenment.

Excellent Al

Does anyone know who the Italian surf band at the one room party was? the Bradipos IV?

I think many of you are forgetting it's about "Tiki"
which is why I got into this whole "Tiki Revival" in the first place
it started as an adult activity and that's what it should be, I am not saying you
can't share it with your kids, just don't try to take away everything that makes it
what it is.

I am with Lucas as well, Tiki Oasis is a long running event and everyone who
has attended it in the past knows what to expect from it.

So why all this bitching now?

Ok been thinking of possible music acts If they go with the spy theme for 0012. Two original performers from 60s - 70s to consider that are still out there

Al Caiola. - he's mr tough guitar. Did a bunch of spy / private eye stuff
Lalo Schifrin - still at it. Mannix. Mission impossible, Bullitt

And a crazy group from Japan.
Tokyo Panorama Mambo boys. Did 2 LPs of spy stuff

Any other suggestions?

[ Edited by: Kapu Kai in Hi-Fi 2011-08-27 00:08 ]

So why all this bitching now?

Maybe because what was once minor and could be overlooked and shrugged off isn't so minor and can't be overlooked and shrugged off anymore? At lot of this has been building for years as this event keeps getting larger.

And the whole "well, if you don't like it, don't come" attitude is part of what we are bitching about.

After about 4+ months of not sleeping to pull this event together Otto and I are going to focus on all the amazing wonderful aspects of Tiki Oasis! Would love to hear what you LOVED about the event.... What are you looking forward to next year? Who did you meet... wish you met? Did you volunteer? Wanna do it again? You asked what we liked. Here it is what I liked. A TON of stuff. LOVED Big Sandy and Los Straightjackets!! Kitten on the Keys was hilarious, awesome. The retro, modern tiki, and pop artwork in all was amazing. The vintage fabric for sale took my breath away (that God they're in SF so I can visit when I have $$). Swanky's Mai Kai Symposium was AMAZING.

Seeing a bunch of friends and making some new ones. Big room parties and smaller more intimate ones with far away friends. The Pop up Band in the Atrium (yes, they shouldn't have done it at 1am, but they were really good. And the Atrium had FANTASTIC acoustics). Dancing on chairs in the Room parties to the AWESOME bands. Loved the FI Room Parties. Chum blew the roof off the house. The car show was FUN with the Hula Girls playing and Crazy Al Mcing and interviewing.

The rum, and making the best of slight glitches. Like when the fire alarm went off, once we established there was no fire, a drinking game spontaneously occurred chanting to the rhythm of the alarm. The Ohana that positively rose to the occasion when glitches did occur. No issues, everyone just all helped, made sure everyone was okay, and moved on. Awesome vibe and people. Just happy and good.

Getting kicked off the pool balcony Sunday night at the drink all of the rest of the booze gathering because we were having too much fun. Think that our excitement in greeting Costco Shawn did it. Partying with Don Tiki Sunday night with about 50 other people in the empty Arctic bungalow - kind of hilarious. Staying up until 5 am Saturday morning and talking with friends by the hot tub. The vendors had so many great things that it was a plethora of goods. The mustaches, sombreros, and masks were hilarious. The mustache contest....well geez, some of those had a life of their own. Gorgeous circle skirts and tons of tropical vintage fashion in abundance. It was a beautiful overload in eye candy. And as always seeing all of the beautiful vintage fashions and gathering in the name of Ohana was fantastic. Generally, just the happy positive vibe the event creates. Finally, sharing with newcomers how the event came to be, the history of the Tiki and mid-century revival and how Otto and Hukilau Brown were at the forefront of it. Those were just a few of the things I liked. :)

Baby Doe and Otto, I know how hard you both work on this event ALL YEAR. I know that the 4 months prior to the event are often 20 hour work days - including weekends. I know that you give up sleep to get it done and your kids are very patient while you do the work. It's easy to criticize, but sometimes it's fun just to go with it and enjoy things. Maholo to you both!!! You guys are amazing. You both ROCK!! Thank you.

Thanks Coco Loco - it is cool to see what stood out to you at the event!

Yes the event takes a year to plan on top of our full time jobs, two kids and all our other side projects but it is worth it to know folks love it cause we do!!

El Trident'eh'!!

i knew that beard would come in handy...

Marina said i could do 'whatever' during the fire portion of her show.... i kind of surprised her with the "Mexican Fire-Hat Dance!" no one was the wiser with this professional of fire storms...

I hear that Otto promises to not forget the theatrical lighting for future Marina Pool-side Shows...
That being said i leave you with this image...

thanks Kari for the fab. photos
and Thank You Marina for the invite to your pool party!!!

Lost In Paradise: Tiki Oasis 11 Saturday

Mahaloz and Cheers!

Telling friends back home how much fun we had only gets me more excited for next year. Working on 3 couples to make the Minnesota to San Diego run next year!!!

One thing I didnt mention that we loved was the car show! Really great rigs. We especially liked the cars with the super plush interiors that looked like they had mod living rooms in their back seats! Awesome job, thanks again.

They are called Surfer Joe's Boss Combo. They played Thursday night at Bali Hai too.

Hula when presented in America to visitors to Tiki bars is definitely an overt sexual innuendo. Just check out the Mai Kai who do a traditional Tiki bar show that has actually been updated to be more traditional Hawaiian but still the original "American" intent is intact
Granted, the women do not undress but they wear bikini tops and dance suggestively and it is for the visual entertainment of the males in the audience.
It's not high art like an opera or a waltz nor is it to convey religious traditions of the Hawaiian people, etc etc

So for our discussion, I would say hula is a sexual dance

That said, we have moved the Burlesque to be as late as possible in the evening. We have a 10pm curfew so if the kids stay up til 9 or 10 they are going to see Burlesque. Next year we will move some of the Burlesque indoors after hours but not all of it. Parents beware!

Otto is correct,so bow before him and offer your firstborn!

No! Please don't give me your first born. I am honored, but I already have two kids and can barely keep up with them as it is!

i rest my case...... and dont bring those firstborn to next years oasis! hahahaha! seriously.

There are Burlesque dancers at Tiki Oasis?

José Jiménez once said "Should a Father bring his underage Son to a Strip Club?
While this may be educational to the underage Son, It just makes all the over-aged Son's
very uncomfortable, which would be bad Etiquette, My name José Jiménez!"

   and a :drink:

True... but the really sexual dancing and excitement comes from the male dancers at the Mai Kai. I always think the women kinda seem tame in comparison to the men in their show. My wife and I would love to see more of that at Tiki Oasis too. Maybe some male fire dancers or muscle heads lifting weights by the pool, or men in the fashion shows. Just to mix it up a little bit.

Otto, THANKS for the amazing event. My interest in tiki was beginning to wane a little, and you brought me back from the abyss.

hot sex it what makes those little distractions running around the TO stage... can't live with'em - life don't go on with out'em...

i'll refrain from sharing the pictures... But when Zandora's talents were unleashed on the main stage before the sunset in 2010, i was more then uncomfortable, However the 'artist' in me got the hugest kick out of watching the reaction of the crowd. Every person male/female that looked over 50 was looking everywhere else but at the direction of the stage and Zandora's ample Zang'gerzzzz....

Oooo? look at the people way up there on the balcony... Oooo look over your shoulder, was a pretty sunset....

I think that's a perfect compromise!
Yes, please add some of Mae West's muscle men and/or fire dancers to the show! A little something for everyone....

I see Tiki Oasis as that anyway, something for everyone. I love seeing old and new friends from seasons past that I don't get to see often enough. As a vendor, I really enjoy meeting and talking with so many of the attendees. I think for me going forward, I will probably attend without vending so I can get to some of the seminars and the car show, really spend some time checking out all the great art for sale (not make it a 15 minute dash while someone else tends the booth!), enjoy the pool, sleep in, etc. And nothing against the Crowne Plaza, but I'll probably stay elsewhere so I can leave the craziness when I'm ready to and get a full night's sleep! You nutty kids...

C

Highlights for us on our 4th Tiki Oasis:

*Creepxotica while I was floating in the pool
*Big Sandy and Los Straightjackets
*Car Show (how do I show my car next year???, PM me)
*laughing after hearing "Tequila" played by almost every band and then like 40 times by the DJ on Sunday morning.
*meeting my neighbors at 3:20am when I popped out of my room (barely dressed) during the fire alarm
*I got the best balcony ever this year and even got a fridge and microwave without askin!
*Crowne Plaza staff
*Friday night dance party
*Cocktail CSI (even though it was really late to start)
*watching go go dancers from behind while sitting in the jacuzzi with a cocktail
*the chance to step away for some horrible stuff going on in my life, even if for just 3 days.

Wishes for 2012:

*the same balcony room or similar
*entry in the car show
*more spending money (shot my wad on room and tickets, had NO money for vendors this year)
*more food options? ice cream? shave ice?
*next year I am going to pack bubbles, I always forget.
*and yeah I hate to say it but I am not all that crazy about all the kids at this event. Seems like that is a 50/50 argument around here though. No right answer I guess.

I agree with Otto, and I also understand concern from audience members/parents. But as I said before when I gave my warning for tiki highway attendees... be aware of when burlesquers go on, if this is something that offends you or your children then don't expose them to it. That being said, it was a huge honor to perform burlesque and to go on first... while standing side stage I had little girls wave to me which was fun and awkward at the same time. I figured they must have just seen me as they would a Disney princess, and my act probably didn't phase them much, because they were dancing a long to my song.
Maybe next year they should just give more of a "warning" announcement so parents and put the kiddies to bed????
All in all... tiki oasis= amazing!!!!!!!

What an amazing 4 days!

The event was just fantastic- I have nothing but admiration for all those who helped put this together~

Thanks to Tiki Joe's Ocean for letting me play with fire on stage for 'em, to Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School For keeping me still for 3 hours (not an easy task! haha!), and to Swanky for inviting me to reprise my role as the 'Mai-Kai Mystery Girl' for the Mai-Kai Symposium. What a thrill~ It had been almost 9 years since I had performed that dance at the Mai-Kai during my dancing days there!! Sincerely hope I did the role justice...

Gracias entirely so mucho to Otto & Baby Doe- you have made so many people happy, working so hard to put this together every year-You and your staff are tremendous. Mahalo nui loa for making me a part of this great event!

It was such a pleasure performing for the Tiki Oasis crowds- Your kind words and warm reception only make me want to do even more for the next time- believe me-- I WILL do more!! LOOKOUT!

Thanks aplenty to Tangaroa Ru for taking such good care of this waterlogged nutter, and for being such an amazing room mate at the 'Sea Hag Suite'~
Thanks also to Crazy Al for being such the Tiki-Chivalric Knight to this Exoticat/Aquaticat Damsel. *My Hero!*

Can't stop smiling--- Mahalo to all!

Much aloha,
Your AquaBondGirl~

The Mai Kai's Hula girls are amazing to watch!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-00VCva1FPo

Way less sexual than burlesque, but still more modern and exciting than a super traditional, ancient hula dance. This would be a fantastic compromise for a daytime show. I see this idea akin to the traditional Mariachi band that had the pleasure of seeing this year (great idea, by the way!!)

I like the suggestion for there to be a menagerie of acts on stage. Silly beefcake dudes and/or fire-dancers or fire-spinners would be incredible.
-What about a vintage swimsuit contest; one for both men and women?
-Maybe even put together a little spy vs. spy comedy act on stage to go with the new theme?
-Someone else applauded my idea about the non-alcoholic bar that could serve soda pop, energy drinks, water bottles and mocktails...anyone else think that's a noteworthy idea? Would the hotel allow this?

Let's stick to music on the main stage. I was relaxing until a hyped up dolt ran up and blocked my view trying to get a photo of a pastie. Lets save the shenanigans for the bungalows, room parties or Bali Hai stage. I almost spilled my rum. How uncouth.

T

Oasis was such a blast. But not for everybody.

I found these pieces of a broken moai mug outside of Sabu The Coconut Boy's room party

It looks like someone's shattered dreams :(

(Not to be confused with the broken mug incident with the cut leg)
