Hey mijaba, great stuff. I like the war mask. It's very cool. Good job on the mermaid. That's gotta be pretty difficult to carve.

thanks McTiki and Laojia-- i took some more off the chin to "feminize" her a bit more- little more detail around the lips. I'm not sure if I want to paint or stain her. I just soaked her in wood hardener so I don't have to redo her face again. I've chopped her lips and eyelids off so many times I could have made a horror movie!!! She should be bulletproof by morning.

[ Edited by: mijaba 2010-11-12 15:57 ]

That Genie is amazing! The face is increadibly realistic for being so small. I wish I could do something like that. If you want my opinion, I wouldn't stain or paint the body, but that's just what I like.

Great Job!

Nice carves mijaba, the hair on the Genie is very convincing - I thought it was fiber attached to the wood.

Up in the gecko discussion you mentioned "wood hardener" - what is that? (and don't tell me it's Viagra! )

My few cents worth is that it's great. Like Finkster says, incredible detail and
lifelike, especially at that size. Top notch little gal.
