Whoa, just got back from a fun weekend in New Orleans...Yay!

Amy had to go down the week before for a conference thingy, and I hooked up with her for a 3 day weekend at the end of that Microsoft dealio.

What a blast...we got to play on a air boat out in the swamps...

we got to wrestle this guy...

Toured the city, played on Bourbon Street and the French Quarter...here's what 20 mil with get you in the Garden District...

Anyway, this really is leading up to art, I met this fellow down there...

He kinda reminds me of the albino snake mug I did a while back...so, I think this snake is one of the goodies I'll bring along on the ride to the Tonga Hut.

Also, I'm bringing this platter as well.

GROG, The Tonga Online Show continued thing sounds cool, that last Christmas one that Cammo did was great fun.

Sir Squid, Amy and I were walkin' past this little store down there and found this...it screamed "Squid" to both of us!...if anyone can make this thing sound exotic, its you. Maybe you can put those thimbles on the back of a pair of drum sticks? PM me your address again and I'll stick it in tomorrow's out going mail :)

More to come...

S

F$#@&in' A! A washboard tie!!!! I need it by Saturday for Lodge Night! I'll pay FEDEX!!!!

And what an incredible segue... vacation pix seamlessly flowing into ceramics and washboard ties! I bow to the Babalooooie!

S

I got your sombrero right here!!!

For scale reference, the pirate chalice is a single shot.

How do you wear that on your head?
and where'd my sombrero go?

excellent work there Squiddsy!

Sweet! What is the scale? Goblet or shotglass?

Wow Bai, that Rose Mug turned out awesome. GROG heard you had Koi Fish that looked pretty darned neat, also. GROG hope you're able to finish and send stuff in time. If not, we will continue the show online after the art show on April 11, and you can post your stuff for sale then. GROG look forward to seeing more Bai masterpieces.

You are right Sir Babalu, the Tonga Huta art show on Easter Weekend. Which make it appropriate that the hand-built mugs GROG bringing are Moais. :)

Kinny, that alpaca is ubiquitous. It seem to be poppin' up everywhere.

Been spending time listening to Mojo Magazine's (April) free enclosed CD "I Can See For Miles", a complilation of 1966 psychedelic songs by groups like Chocolate Watch Band, 13th Floor Elevators, Bubble Puppy, etc. It's freakin' astrotomic groovy and HIGHLY recommended!

So you can see where my head's been.

Is Squid gonna sign copies of his new book - "The Thousand and One Talented Tentacles of Squid, Lord of Tiki Mugs"? Cause I want the first copy!

(Oops, I don't wanna get this thread shut down...)
