FLASH BACK TO 2008

While Doug is working on the official poster and doing an amazing job(I got a sneak peak), Im working on making a limited edition of the official Tiki Caliente 2 pendants .This will be of the tiki in the center of the parking lot . The mold came from one of my original handcarved Koa Wood pendants . Im not sure how many Ill be making but Im working on doing as much as I can before my back surgery . Im trying to be prepared because I wont find out when the surgery will be until May 11th . I hope you like them , Ray

Extremely nice work Ray. I hope the surgery goes well. Use Arnica Montana before and after, it should help the healing.

Rory, I just got off the phone with Koop Kooper and we talked about Tiki Caliente for his next radio cast of Cocktail Nation... And well, on the air... I called you Wildman, not Wildsville Man. I hope you will forgive my faux pas. But in my mind, you are simply WIIIIIIILD.
The main thing though is that his radio show goes out to 1000s of tiki ohana around the globe who will now know that the center of the Tiki Universe will be at the Caliente Tropics in June.

Thanks for the compliments Robb. I cant wait to see yours and the other artists works for the gallery . I talked to Rory and Ill have a couple of tikis in there as well . One is a smaller replica of my pendants(the parking lot tiki)but that was already sold but will be on display all weekend . Maybe if I sign Rory's tiki I carved for Tiki Caliente 1 he can get my name added to the gallery poster (hint,hint). If not, its cool . Im just glad to be included with Tiki Royalty like you and the others .

I'm assuming there will be entertainment on Fri. and Sat., if so what time...since I booked I'm contemplating hosting for the room crawl...sorry for being a lazy S.O.B...but if anyone can throw me a bone, I'd appreciate it!

I'm jealous of all you people attending this event - 'cause I'll be heading to Florida/Hukilau that very weekend. The jealous streak only lasts a few seconds though when I think of my pending first visit to Ft. Lauderdale's legendary MAI KAI. All I want to say then - is - (insert raspberry).

Have a blast in Palm Springs tiki peeps and keep the posts/pics updated so I can watch the fun from the east coast (I'll do the same on my end.) G
