Monkees’ Peter Tork dies at 77

The Monkees took a lot of flack for being the Prefab Four, but Tork and Nesmith had some serious musical chops. Once they wrested musical control from the studio handlers, they produced some seriously interesting stuff--and that doesn't diminish the quality of the hits they had written by others.

I'm seeing reports on Instagram and FB that Andrew McClain, aka Mr. Tiki Head, died in a automobile accident Feb. 24. I didn't know him, but enjoyed the character he played. He seemed a great ambassador for the tiki community.

Thanks, Prikli for noting this. I just posted in the general forum before seeing this here, hopefully the duplication isn't a concern. This feels like a huge loss, even to those of us who didn't know him personally.
