Thanks Jason! Wendy...you are the sweetest! Babalooooooooooooooo! Tucker's tikis-Mahalo man! That sculpture was a PAIN to paint! Here's a New one that will introduce our loose theme of skeletons for this day's gallery entry.... There's a step-by-step/brief tutorial on this piece here's the sketchbook entry Here's the original character the original blackline art then i added some color and distress to it in fact, here's that Skeletal moai inspired by this piece Here's the card i got picked to create for the show but we still need to finish the skeleton theme! Here's a logo i designed for my friend lennie's clothing line here's another concept that didn't get picked Speaking of tee-shirt designs Seeing we've wandered from the original subject matter of this week's entry.. Here's a submission for a group show so i turned to ROCK AND ROLL! Also here's some vinyl stickers that have long run out... and a t-shirt and bag graphic for the Well that's it for this entry!

bump that Killer Diller! just to be serious for one uncharacteristic sec., On first inspection, the whimsical content of Kinny's art can belie the amazing and beautiful craft of his art. But it is that dichotomy that makes Kinny's art stand the test of time. but his hair is another story...it will surely fall out prematurely from all that dye and do fixative! |

Ken, Thanks for the Easter goodies... you continue to inspire and just plain make me smile when I look at your work! BTW, I have shown my Tribe (that's my 6 kiddos) your work on this thread and they are all blown away. My oldest just turned 13 and my youngest are 6 year old twins... They have been drawing tikis and leaving them on my desk :) One of the Tribe's all-time favorites from you is the octopus-squid-seahorse surfboard... the kids loved it! They also love your 'birdmen'... I forget what you call them, orongo or something like that? Peace and blessings to you, my friend! Jason < |
