M

Ok, Lolo is ready for finishing.

Thanks for looking!

McTiki

That's sweet!

You beat me to it! I've had that on my list of things to do for a couple years now. 'Cept I'm going to do it in flat work.

Now I've got to get down to business and get one carved! Great minds think alike!

Again, great concept and execution!!!!

A

JUMPIN' JEHOSAPHAT !!! That's is quite an effort. How long did that take?

M

Thanks Dave! Greats minds.....pfffft. You should still do one! A log.

Amate, Thank you! I logged in over 30 hrs of cutting and another 6 or so of finishing...so far.

This one, therefore, is a keeper, but, I would certainly attempt copies upon request lol.

Mahalo!

McTiki

N

That look great McTiki! Very Nice!

What tools do you use to carve all that small detail?

M

Nix, I carve with burrs, shaping wheels and Lancelots.

I had fun with this lil McMark...

Of course a shot for Dr. Benz

with stain...

Wood was in a big box Hardware Store as a 2" Dowel. Thought I would try a different wood than Palm for a change. You can get so much detail into a deciduous or evergreen wood than can be had with Palm.

Thanks again for looking!

Mahalo!

McTiki

Hard Wood - finally! Get yourself something sharp to use on that wood. Hook knife is the perfect choice!

damn McTiki......i be loving your stuff....you got your own style already established...whats next?

M

Thanks Aloha and CC!

I thought I was using sharp stuff!!!

So here's McTiki's first Teko Teko...I named him McTeko!

2 in Hardwood Dowel

Baby pic...

More & More sanding awaits him, but, he's happy guarding the McTiki's lounge until after St. Patty's day.

Thanks for looking.

That moari is very cool. I'm tempted to say "carve deeper" just to be a smart ass. Oops, I just did! He would come apart if you went much deeper than that.

Hi McTiki, Dan and I just enjoyed looking at your three pages of carvings. A wonderful portfolio of you talent and creativity. It was really fun to see the mug turned into a carving. Keep posting and we will keep looking. Cheers from one coast to the other, Wendy and Dan

P

post the cannibal!

M

Thank you for the kind compliments Amate!

Dan & Wendy, You guys rock! Thank you!

Jeff, I'll get it posted up as soon as I get some better definition and better pics. Thanks Bro!
