Aloha Campbell! Lot's of great stuff coming out of your studio! Love all the character and texture you put in your tikis! A-1 finish also... gives 'em a real nice vintage look. Keep up the great work! |

Watango, I'm Really loving your tikis. You have Nice skills from the carving, sanding down to the finishing, and I Love how you start at the feet and work up same as Marcus, is that a Down under thing? It seems up here we mostly start at the top and work down, but the way you finish as you go is great. |

Campbell, I've never even been to Kustom Lane. It's out in the eastern suburbs somewhere yeah? How long they been open? Bad date though...that's around my birthday! The tikis were shown years ago (Gavin Dyke carved them at LEAST 6 years ago) at Outre Gallery so they've "retired" to my garden and won't move again hopefully. Look HERE for the sales page from Enco Tool Supply and look HERE for the catalog page where you can see many other sanding surprises. Be sure to look at pages before and after this page And order a catalog, it's free! Oh yeah, I've looked everywhere for these jobbies and this supplier seems to have the Best prices over anyon else. If anyone finds them cheaper please let me know? |

Nice cuts Watango! Classic Poly Pop stylings on this guy with a silky smooth finish! I hate sanding too, which is why I avoid it if at all possible. You've already learned that a textured finish is a good out from hours of sanding. |

Great start on this guy! The Acacia wood looks like it gets a little waxy after you carve it? Cedar does that for me, and its another shortcut to not having to sand. Love the textured surface! |
