The monkeys came out awesome! On #4 you could just flatten him off a little lower than he is now to match the other guys. |

That top edge looks like a castle wall! I suggest you cut it off a few inches lower than it is, and parallel to that top-most cut of the design, as seen in this view. That way, it won't be level with the ground, but with the design. Does that make sense? If I had skills, I'd do a photo shop. :lol: |

just finished #6 of 6 "in the ground" TiKis all basic carves I think, a little bit different than carving on a horizontal log though they were fun to carve...I'd like to do more |

Thanks Grand Poobah. I haven't posted a finished pic of the last TiKi because I had some trouble with the staining process and had to sand it down after staining. The stain went on un-evenly and looked bad. |

I need a couple of taller TiKis for a friends booth at the Pacific Islander Festival next weekend in San Diego.......so I had this guy that I had given up on and never finished. He has just been hangin' out in the back yard.

Yeah, he's been tucked away in my yard for almost 2 years. I have a couple more laying around that I never finished.....maybe there's hope for them too. |
