Yes cheeky it was fairly wet when i started tall boy will crack some more. Have you seen those shipping cost lately Benz! they have almost doubled!

Just a overexaggeration. I would like to do this with the arms and body but my logs are not thick enough or I would end up with a very short and small body. Tall Boy was intended to be a chain saw only carve. The eye area front & back shows a lack of extended thought. I found out he would fit in the van, so i brought him home. I just couldn't stop chipping on him.

I have been trying to figure out how to incorporate a frog into my carvings. However , I wanted to make mine a chirping frog (have you seen the wooden frogs that make a chirping sound when rubbed). I imagine the difficulty of the work when the wood has dried. But I think, in view the pics, that you have a significantly higher level to meet the challenge, it is clear that your hand with a gouges is provided and accurate.
