Are you going to hang it in the Lava Flow?

Thanks Heath. I'm not sure. I may try and make prints. We'll see.

Groovy Matt.

Now I wanna see the warm version...and shouldn't that tiki be wearing a big-ass lodge hat?

WTF?

Oh yea, Check your PMs, daddy-o.

[ Edited by: hodadhank 2007-10-29 11:01 ]

Thanks Jim. It's actually a fish but the pic is too small to really see it.
Hank, his head IS a lodge hat! Thanks for the input.
Cheers.

MR

Here are some new ones.
This is on a little monkeypod tray I found ages ago.

This one, "Smokey" is on a wooden seving tray.

A little closer.

I'll be posting these in the "for sale" area later. I've got a couple more I'm almost done with. All feedback is appreciated.

Thanks Polynesiac. I'm getting tired of all the clutter I've had piling up. I figure I'm not using half the trays and bowls and whatever so why not paint 'em? Glad you like them.
Heath..........Oh nevermind I'll call you.

Sweet stuff Matt!!

Working on another one tonight.
Cheers.

I've decided not to post these in the marketplace. I figure if anyone is interested in them you can just pm me. Thanks again for looking.
Cheers

Better a creative streak than streaking creatively!!

T

I'm new to TC. Your art is one of the first I found while checking things out. Just had to let you know it's real cool. Hope to see more.

Welcome aboard. Thanks for the kind words. Be sure and introduce yourself in the Ohana forum.
Cheers.

Nice work Matt...I really liked the seahorse too...plus they are neat on those trays. I wish I sucked like that.

MR

Thanks again.
Just wanted to note to anyone who doesn't check the marketplace, Hodadhank at the Freak Factory has posted some of my paintings that he has in his shop.
New painting coming up later tonight!
Cheers.

MR

Here it is.
It's titled 'Brothers'.
The original is for a friends two sons who are avid surfers in Cardiff.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers.

nice one matt! I like the bright colors on this one - and the watchmans cap on the pelican. (and surfin' crab and sea star).

On the way down to the oki oki I stopped at Cardiff to check out the waves. I loved what I saw, and some dude told me on the beach that it sucked that day! I need to go back.

MR

You ever do, you've got a place to stay at my friend. It's a little further south than Cardiff though.
Thanks for the compliments.
Cheers.

Good stuff Matt.
Big Daddy Roth influence?

I like the pirate alot!, back a few pages, on pg. 2 to be precise.

[ Edited by: Jungle Trader 2008-02-01 22:10 ]

MR

Thanks Perry, I "were" crazy huh? Pot calling the kettle....
Jungle, thanks. Huge Roth influence. The pirate isn't my design. It's modified a bit but mostly a recreation. Thanks for the feedback.
Cheers.

Here's some new stuff. I know it's been awhile.
First the dancer stages for Oasis 8.(ignore the fat guy)

This is the back of the Finknik shirts (black shirts)

Here's the small image on the front of the shirts.

Lastly, Voudon, acrylic on masonite 20"x20"

Thanks for looking. Give me lots of feedback as I am an insecure artist type.

That's some bitchen stuff Matt!! YOu have been doing some big things!! I am all about the monsters, man!!

Oh YEEA!
the Zombie rocks dude!
great colors!
i really like the jug you got infront of him for somereason :)

The 60's comin' back around. Looking good Mr. Reese.

How do I get one of those shirts? Do you have prints of anything available?

radd stuff matt, the dead voodoo man looks radd, the underpainting on it is killer too. and i love the drunken head shirt, im wearing mine right now!

T

Reese, great work. I love all your work, but my top two pic's are your shrunken head and the Voudon. :) I love the colors in the shrunken head and I can just picture it in a room with black lights. And the Voudon looks and reminds me of the great Crazy Al. Love the colors in this one too and all the fine little details. But I'm :-? as to why in the world would you feel insecure about your art?

Spermy,Tikiduddy, Jungle Trader and Tikithomas thanks for the kind words.
Big Kahuna, PM me on the shirts. I'm still working on prints of various things. Anything in particular you're interested in?
Tikipaka thanks, Crazy Al told me if I'd put a beard with bones in it on that painting he'd sue me for copyright infringement.:)
Oh, I'm not insecure. I was just joking around.
Thanks again for all the support.
