Disneyland Gallery to host 50th Tiki Room Exhibit! Updated info!! Read!

No Mugs on the Shelves today.......But was told they will be restocked soon :)

I got flustered and bought a couple of things on ebay, but they are the ones you can only get if you went to the event, I really wanted the Shag Toucan print and the event Tiki Coffee mug. If anyone is interested I have the extra thing I don't needavailable in the marketplace.
Theya re just the journal, bottle opener, pin, original ticket art printed on wood, and the event lanyard or ticket.

Tiki Room merchandise that was out at Disneyland has made its way to Walt Disney World. Available at the Epcot location of the Art of Disney store.

As of yesterday, Disneyana at Disneyland is now sold out of the Pele statue & both mugs. Coasters have been restocked though. A cast member told me the mugs should be in by August, we'll see!

Went to Disneyland yesterday. Disneyana now has the Tongaroa Ru mugs, but still no Pele mug. Both big figs of Pele & fish god are sold out now. They still have the purse, coasters, postcards, Rongo bowl, paper clip box & Chip dip bowl. They had ONE tiki shirt left on rack! Didn't see which size.

THanks for the update! Crossing my fingers that there is still some good stuff left when I get there in two weeks!!

There was a Jose figure at the shop Saturday. Not a particularly good figure, but it's there. I don't believe it was in the catalogue. No mugs or tiki gods or coasters.

I went to Disneyland on Sunday, and they now have coasters, postcards, chip/dip bowl, Rongo bowl, purse, and the framed pin set at the Disneyana/gallery. Still no mugs at all, big figures or shirts (though there is ONE shirt left in the outside display window! Don't know what size) And of course they still have the $850.00 Dave Avanzino paper sculpture framed LE25 piece, but I'm sure they won't be selling out of those anytime soon at that price! And they have most if not all the other artwork by various artists still hanging up for sale. I saw the Jose resin bird too, not impressed with it. It just doesn't have that "look" of Jose. For starters, the eyes are too small. Jose's eyes are big, almost human in some ways!

Agree. I suspect this bird was an outside vendor's off-the-shelf thing that they stuck a "Jose" sign on to capitalize on the anniversary. It doesn't have that "love of Tiki Room" spirit.

YUP! the Tiki Sippers are back!!... picked up a couple of them last nite. There are plenty to go around! I'll be at the employee store nxt week to see what is available in case you know someone who can get you a pass and you want to pay less for the merch. ALOHA!.. and fill up those sippers..tomorrow is 'National Rum Day'!! ......'there's always rum just around the corner'......See you at Oasis :wink:

I stopped by Disneyana yesterday and they have the both mugs back in stock (though I heard they don't have a lot, just a few boxes), the Pele figurine (I think they had the other one too), and the coasters. They also still had plenty of sipper cups at Dole Whip and didn't sell out by end of day.

The only item they haven't restocked are the shirts.

You can buy the resin Jose figure at the Downtown Disney Disney Store. It was hidden away on the bottom shelf in the 'gallery' section of the store.

I have a large shirt available in the market place, I was looking to just get original price +tax, + shipping.
New never worn. I bought two as the size runs a bit larger.

I bought an XL Shag shirt myself at the event- big mistake. Tried it on after I got home and it is MASSIVE on me.
I still want the shirt, so if anyone wants to trade for a large... PM me.

I went to Disneyland on Sunday & they now have everything back in stock, including the shirts! The only items that are sold out for good are some of the pin sets. The only pins left are the Glee Club set, the Tiki Room letters in box & the frame set at Disneyana.

At the Dole Ship stand, at the entrance to the Enchanted Tiki Room/entrance to Adventureland.

Magical Ears Collectibles has several of the 50th anniversary items on their website for much cheaper than eBay.
They have 2 of the figurines and several of the Jody Daily and Kevin Kidney ceramic pieces.

As of Jan. 4th, the Disneyana Gallery still has all the 50th Tiki Room items in stock! I bought one of the Dave Avanzino LE25 paper sculpture boxes. They still have 2 left on display for sale. It's a beautiful piece!

Over the past couple of months the online Disney Store has been selling quite a few of the 50th anniversary items too. The inventory seems to change weekly.
