A bit of erotica we found this afternoon. The image of the girl wearing a Lei seems oddly inappropriate to the business being advertised. Sorry about the reflections, it is framed under cheap glass. If anybody really cares to have a scanned version up I will take it out of the frame and post it properly. |

Custom Slaughtering ?? Yeah, pull her out - would make good subject matter for a velvet, or other artiness. [ Edited by: komohana 2016-04-17 22:20 ] |

Can't help but think this -- nice photo, but that is likely (although sometime later) someone's mom! :) |

http://martiantiki.com/redhead-aloha-calendar/ This is what I could get in a single scanner pass. Splicing will be necessary to get her knees in. My first try the image lighting was too noticeable. To be continued... |

Man, if only plumbers still made these calendars today! Is it just me, or did we take a giant step BACK by not printing this sort of advertising material in today's times? :) [ Edited by leevigraham on 2023-04-21 02:47:12 ] |

http://martiantiki.com/redhead-aloha-calendar/ I finished splicing together 3 scans into 1 image...see link for full resolution. Admittedly this seems like a perfect opportunity to bring up a more recent example of a redhead plus tiki...to be continued. |

No doubt from the 1950s, but I colorized the b&w to bring it back into the semi-present. Ms. Page is a worthy addition to any era, I think. |

Nani Maka ebay auction image and description ITEM: You are bidding on an original, vintage medium format 120 camera film negative photograph taken by Bunny Yeager in 1962 backstage at the Miami Area Artist's and Model's Ball of model Bonnie Carroll, who also modeled as Nani Maka, seen here wearing a sexy bunny costume awaiting her turn on the catwalk! The Ball was hosted by Milton Berle with Yeager supplying a few of the Bunny Honeys. This was really a spectacular event. Bunny was the belle of the ball and appeared in no less than three lavish costumes. The theme of the ball that year was space exploration which made for quite a few over the top costumed pin-up models. Oh to have been a fly in a fruitbowl there!! Yeager’s body of work includes over five decades of spectacular and compelling celebrations of female beauty. Her work was both groundbreaking and technically brilliant; one of the only female photographers working in the pin-up and nude genres. Yeager captured the female body with a beauty, strength, power and emotionality unparalleled by the lens of many of her male contemporaries. A great slice of pin-up history. Measures 2 1/4" square. PLEASE NOTE: The auction is for the Kodak Safety Film black and white camera negative which we converted to a positive view in the scans here. The watermark does not appear on the actual negative. Guaranteed to be 100% vintage and original from Grapefruit Moon Gallery. For this listing only, Grapefruit Moon Gallery represents that the original camera negative/transparency ("Original") comes with United States copyright. The buyer is solely responsible for ascertaining that the Original is otherwise cleared for publication including but not limited to satisfying any publicity right that persons appearing in an image may have under any statutes or common law. Grapefruit Moon Gallery makes no representation or warranty as to any matters that need to be cleared prior to publication. No representation or warranty is made regarding copyright outside of the United States. All publication issues should be referred to the buyer's own professional advisors. •••••••••••••••••••• Grapefruit Moon Gallery is the proud home of the extensive, detailed, and comprehensive estate of photographer and pin-up model Bunny Yeager. Described as "the world’s greatest pin-up photographer" by Diane Arbus, and best-remembered for her iconic collaborations with Bettie Page, Yeager’s body of work includes over five decades of spectacular, and groundbreaking celebrations of female beauty. Yeager’s archive includes thousands of never-before-seen and many unpublished camera images of leading glamour and cheesecake models, unique camera negatives & transparencies, photographs, contact sheets, original model costumes, props, cameras, model release forms, technical notes, as well as displays and exhibition mounted large photographs from her Miami showroom. Yeager’s work is both groundbreaking and technically brilliant; one of the only female photographers working in the pin-up and nude genres, she captured the female body with a beauty, strength, power, and emotionality unparalleled by the leering lens of many of her male contemporaries. Keep a close eye on our listings for one-of-a-kind treasures from the estate of Bunny Yeager. |
