I really think the Tiki Erotica thread needs to focus on the Vintage Erotica. 1960's, early 70's. The swank, but tasteful stuff of an era, we and other Tiki folks will keep alive!
. . . .

This article from Salon shares it from the perspective of a woman discovering burlesque inspired glamour as she realizes she will never be a Cameron Diaz size 0.

"[O]riginal designs inspired by vintage ’40s and ’50s silhouettes. Pinup Girl Clothing features an adorable array of va-va-voomy dresses, and she’d designed one to my specifications — a body-skimming sheath with day-to-night versatility, made of stretchy fabric with a neckline that’s not too low, a hemline that’s not too high, and longish sleeves. I was looking for two specific features: forgiveness and good coverage.

Then the next box arrived, packed full of more dresses by Laura and her partner, Micheline: the crazy orange-tiger Vamp; the demure yellow-rose-print Erika; the berry, blue and red siren-sleek Erin; the luxe mauve velvet Film Noir with the draped cowl neckline; and the full-skirted cherry-print Heidi, which put me in a good mood just looking at it. They fit, but just barely. One hardy sneeze and I’d bust the seams. On the same day came an invitation to judge the Miss Exotic World competition at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend in Las Vegas, just a few weeks away in early June.

Eressing for the contest was an exercise in holding my breath and minding my worst thoughts with discipline and compassion: Blah feel fat blah blah blah. Blah blah lose 10 more pounds blah blah. “It is what it is,” I said aloud to my reflection. As I layered my makeup, I realized that so much of this “being present” business is simply telling the negative voices in your head to shut the fuck up.

I pulled out a red dress with side shirring and lots of stretch. The perfect choice. A red dress says, “I’m here.”"

Thanks again Christiki295. Vanity obsesses, lures and sells. In the end it's our own fault. "If you try to please everybody, nobody will like it."

I'll post the rest as a voting incentive when pretty-peaches hits 700 votes.

Is Martian-tiki finished extorting us for votes for his pin up wench and going to finally post full pics from the above posts?

grog must think he's at the Renaissance fair instead of his cave exhibit.

I didn't get the votes to trigger action on my part so now posting is in the "when I feel like it" zone. admittedly the click rate was decent for blatant extortion and now I wonder if instead of 5000 thread views being unique people ...merely 50 people are clicking the thread 100 times!

Well, so you know, I did my best to uptick the vote count for your friend. When I first tried to vote a second time (after clearing my 'cookies'), it gave me a message that there had already been a vote that day, from this IP address. Rats, only one vote per day! So I used the Tor Browser, which routes from a different apparent IP, to vote again. And again. A little tedious, but I voted for her several times a day, this way.

well I thought there was something familiar about the model Andria Bernette above. I had a note to self that Aiko Berge would make a nice posting topic. I think this is out of an issue of Knight - I didn't actually have the sense to save that information.

Thanks to the popularity of Goldfinger we can be treated to Aiko in gold on this Smother's Brothers Golden hits album. ebay seller aaamagazines was awesome to include that information in his auction - i suppose i may have to buy that.

edit- note to self or future archeologists the article should be in Knight Magazine Mamie Van Doren And Tommy Noonan Vol.4 No.8 August 1964 "3 Nuts In Search Of A Bolt"

Hey Tiki Martian, just noticed your post back in February with a pic of British model Even Eden / Rosa Domaile, pictured below:

I thought that sign looked familiar, it was set dressing of the exterior of a British tiki/South Seas mob club in the film, "Frighten City", starred a young Sean Connery.

Barbara Luna is perhaps most famous for her appearance in Star Trek's Mirror Mirror episode.
Her exotic beauty made it easy to cast her as a Mexican or Indian Princess, or 1960's spy.
But for the purpose of this post her modeling career cast her in the role of Hawaiian princess. (incidentally that autographed photo is swiped from an auction currently on ebay)

Also Star Trek fans may be interested to know that a fan production made a sequel to this episode called Star Trek Continues: Fairest of Them All.
http://www.startrekcontinues.com/star-trek-continues-episode-3-fairest-of-them-all/
I'd say casting this actress for the new one was inspired.
