He looks so scary. It would be fun if he was a glow in the dark version and you didn't say anything then one night in the dark there he is! Wendy

Hmmm
Good idea

Is it cool enough in Las Vegas for you to start carving again? Waiting for your next project is hard. Wendy

Wendy- here we go

Kotiate is a type of traditional hand weapon of the Maori,
the indigenous people of New Zealand.
A Kotiate is a short club normally made of wood or
whalebone. Kotiate means to cut or divide the liver,
is probably taken from its shape, which resembles
the lobed part of the human liver.

Fresh out of whalebone, but, have wood.

Lookin' good brother, love the stain. Fashion yourself up a harpoon and get on down to the Colorado River for that whale bone.

Have you spanked anyone with that paddle? Wendy

I thought it was a ping pong paddle.

Wendy- maybe
Will- :)

I picked up a few pieces of alligator juniper

Mike: thanks

Ok
Obtained sone alligator juniper:

Juniperus deppeana (alligator juniper or checkerbark juniper;
Native American names include táscate and tláscal is a
small to medium-sized tree reaching 10–15 m (rarely to 25 m) tall.
It is native to central and northern Mexico (from Oaxaca northward)
and the southwestern United States (Arizona, New Mexico, western Texas).

Didn’t have any bone laying around
But
Just got a new bag of dog raw hides
:)

And some African Blackwood

I love it when you get back to carving. This is a fun one. He looks like he is thinking. Wendy

Thanks Wendy

You have such a unique and fun body of work. It's so much fun to have TC back up so I can review your prior works too. Doing one scale at a time on those snake walking sticks took so much dedication. Each one is a wow.

The last HUGE tiki is a master work. The wood dust photo was fun to see too. Thank you for all the fun photos. I'm happy I have a couple of pieces that you have done. Cheers, Wendy

Hi Wendy

Glad you like the snake walking sticks! Yes they took forever.

Burning the scales took a long time but worth it, they look good up close!

This new one is fun too!

Cheers

I only wish you could see him in person
