Lots of beach and pool time

Last pic the morning we left:

Wow, total over load on every tip. Good for you.

I took a lot off the back by the bottom of the carving today:

IMG_6292IMG_6293IMG_6294IMG_6295

Thanks Will

Good times!

Ok, so 1st coat of teak oil on, few more to go

IMG_6298

Looks like you had a blast in Hawaii and your wolf shaman is really coming along!

Thanks Mike, we had a blast.

And I just finished him, the teak oil was not quite dark enough so I decided to mix some walnut danish oil with some teak oil for a few coats.

Time to start thinking about the art swap piece

Hmmmmmm

Wow, I almost didn't log in here tonight. I got a delightful surprise. I love that you carved all the way through on the Indian carving. It's wonderful. So much detail.

Terrific trip photos. So many tikis too. I think you should carve the Duke and put him in front of the wooden surfboard I gave you.

So many artful photos. I especially like that one with Janelle from the back with her hair blowing sideways and her shoulder showing. Well done.

I hope you join the swap so I can watch you work. Cheers, Wendy

Glad you approve Wendy

The surfboard was sanded up and sent off to my brother. We will miss you in the swap.

Started the swap piece, ash wood

The Wolf Shaman turned out great!
The Swap project looks like it could be a horn. Long ago I made a Polynesian War Horn or Trumpet of some sort (can't find a pic of it right now) It was hollow and had the mouthpiece hole on the side instead of the end as commonly seen

Thanks Mike

No horn here

“Hawaiian Stick God” in the making

What an incredible piece of tiki art. It's truly beautiful.

Is it removable ? it could aid in self defense.

Wendy- thank you

Will- of course removable, you could stab someone if needed

That's wild, & very clever.

Not to mention, good job.

Either your hands got bigger or that's really small.

Very cool Jon!

Those are darling. Will you carve a few elf's?

Will Mike Wendy

Thanks,

done

No more little carvings, my eyes can’t do it, even with zooms on

😂

IMG_7019

Noooooooooooo! I like your little carvings. Do one with a blindfold on. If that works then you can still do them. These two houses are darling.

Wendy. Lol

Hot out, so
