W- yes, a goodwill golf club I cut off

More sanding to make the pointed edges tapered

IMG_1938IMG_1939

Love the whale LOL

That was clever.

Thanks u 2

OK, finished sanding the tomahawk, nice n sharp. I really like the fact that the base grip on the tomahawk is the “tomahawk grip” and the higher grip is more of a “pistol grip” for close encounters.

IMG_1999

It needed a base to sit on, so I used an old piece of manzanita wood

Time to make them shine

Feels like hunting season, I spent a couple hours skinning this beast, we chatted about his future

Gong is really nice. New walking stick, you have a wonderful collection of those. It will be fun to see what you do with it. Skinning the beast. A big boy for sure. You must be getting bigger arms with all this work.

Aloha Wendy- I like your play by play summary!

Isn't there a rule against alcohol and the use of sharp tools?

The Octopus is ambitious. I but it will be terrific.

Sweet...

Thanks rum

IMG_2588

The deeper the carve the better the piece. This is looking great.

Thanks Wendy

With those five big logs I recently obtained, I figured I might need this

IMG_2615

Those are fun. I still want you to get a woodchipper like Benzart used. I tried it and it carved the hard wood like it was clay. DSC07590DSC07595

I have one, just picked up a batch of new bits, broke a few. Works good, I used it some on this carving!

You answered my question before I read this comment! Great.

WC

The more I use chisels,

The less I use my chain saw.

Wendy. Lol

Will. That’s surprising, considering most of your carvings are 16 feet tall and weigh 4000 pounds.

😝

Will

Tiny, but, extra credit?

IMG_2659IMG_2660

That's OK.

You're not done yet.

Carve deeper.

Will- aloha

Sanding and window work

IMG_2754IMG_2755IMG_2756

Took MO on his 1st walk today

IMG_2757

Great work on both projects. Mo is not a happy looking guy. You should take him to a tiki bar, so he'll feel at home.

Lol

IMG_2867IMG_2873IMG_2874IMG_2886IMG_2887

I was think'n to myself, myself I thought,

WTF how'd he do that?

Now I know.

Will- lol. Made the hole 1st, spent ammo round in a drill. Then just take away wood, slowly!!!

🤷🏼‍♂️

Brilliant ! & it look good.

Will - thank u sir

Skin texturing and Peek a boo, eye see you

IMG_2963IMG_2962

50 hrs in, so far!!!

Wow wow wow, I had been wondering about suction cups and you just did an expert job of making them happen. This is such a complicated piece. It's such fun to watch you work.

Thanks Wendy, 57 hrs in so far

What do you do when you wake up at 3 AM after having a dream where you figured out how to do something that you were not sure how to do?

Grab a coffee and start carving

lol
