Actually Jerome I am a big fan of Herve's work as well as yours and it is fantastic that he commissioned you to carve these pieces- Quite an honor! |

Dude, that's a serious amount of work in one post. I'm going to have to go back and look again. I love the framed masks (and everything else)! |

Thank's again Chris Y! Wow! i just realize: almost one year without a post on TC... This year was quite busy and complicated: a new job where I had to learn everything, new responsibilities within my union, other projects that I would like to carry out, and some work in the house. And so a little less time to artwork ... But I still did some carving: :D Here's an inspired carving from the "heretical carver" by Shag: Some pendants: deer antler TikiBob with ebony eyes: Koru and Matau from white Corian: And two fez brooch in Pink ivory with corian inlays for my friend of the Sons of the Desert A large Kane head on a metal stand: A funny piece: Finky Bob: A scariest (and wearable) voodoo mask
A Modern-Moai carved out walnut: And a dog...(It was for a gift, nice challenge and funny to do) I've also take the time to finish this large Marquesan started last year during Tiki Pop in musée du Quai Branly: And carve a big and heavy Tangaroa from ash tree: Our collective Tiki Tribe has also evolved during this year, we are now a legal association and Oncle Red made us a very nice logo: A guest again at Cry Baby carshow (5 th edition)I've build a tiki hut for the occasion: ...and we had the honor of awarding a prize for the "best aloha style car": Another funny experience this past year: Here's my first in marquesan style: The second, figured a Moai, was commisionned: Next was in maori style with mother of pearl inlays... ...and one figured Kukailimoku: The last (at this time), also in marquesan style was commissionned by canadian tattoo artist: Last news, after some evenings of work (I'm not a geek) it's the first days of my new webstore: Thanks for looking! Jérôme. |

Wow... No post from me here for long time...:-? Lot of change in my life since... almost 4 YEARS!!! But I always take some time to make Tiki or other things! :D Throwback of four years of carving and creating: First this massive frame with one of my favorite theme: A tekoteko: A marquesan adze:
Kukailimoku: Something weird: inspired by the work of Jesper Bram And another version with kavakava, skull and mod moai I've also made some t-shirt with a friend: A mod Moai (with the test print for the tshirt framed): A couple of Marquesean mask A couple of candy skull for an exhibition around the day of the dead: A head carved on the style of Modigliani wearing Ta moko A cool marquesan: A classic: Mini wharenui maori inspired carved from hondurian mahogany: With lot of détails: To be continued... Thanks for looking! Jérôme Timeline [ Edited by: laojia 2019-04-03 13:29 ] |
