Just looked at all the photos on Home Tiki Bars. Very cool. I hope everyone checks them out.

Hi Wendy. Aloha

Almost there, still need the industrial clear curtain to separate this area from the rest of the garage

Something like this keep the dust off the cars

IMG_2507

Wow that is fantastic. I love tools. What an inspiration to start carving. I know you have a bowl to finish but the swap is coming up. I started my painting today. Should be fun.

Ok

Got it

Wow, what a pain to install due to my garage racks that are already up

But

Done

:-)

Hot hot hot. Drink lots of cold water while working on your swap piece. Funny I would remind you of all people. That curtain holds in the dust and to swamp cooler cold air. Smart. Looking forward to seeing your piece.

WC

When I grow up I wa'na be like you.

Will Carve I feel the same way.

I bet you have some cool plans to celebrate. I hope you share photos. 131110541_5007266739291305_7095383104683744458_o

IMG_4863IMG_4861

Went to a local watering hole, where a friend built a giant tree table

IMG_4879IMG_4880IMG_4887IMG_4883IMG_4888

Had a bourbon and a rye IMG_4884

Then my brother sent me a photo of an old snapshot of us in Hawaii, climbing on a Chinese lantern, I was on top, not sure what the hell I’m doing, maybe trying to pull the top off

While golf ball hunting yesterday I found a piece of wood that will make a fine walking stick:

Oh my I was so far behind. Just caught up. What a lot of fun days. I love the golf ball collection, funny saying on that one ball. Beautiful area you live in. The walking stick will be another fun project. That's a cool skull wall with a beautiful woman hanging out.

Nice chairs and that table is really cool.

PS Are the spine bones human or animal?

I better go to home tiki bars and see if I've missed anything there.

Hi Wendy

Lil animal skulls and bones

Have found a bunch

Yesterday: IMG_5302IMG_5304IMG_5308IMG_5310IMG_5325IMG_5320

Last night had a couple sips with the wife:

IMG_5349IMG_5350IMG_5353

Today: IMG_5375IMG_5376IMG_5378IMG_5374IMG_5379IMG_5382

OK, the swamp cooler was nice but didn’t cool off the carving area very much and made it pretty darn humid.

Broke down and picked up a portable air conditioner. Attached it to one of the vents in the garage.

IMG_5383IMG_5385IMG_5387IMG_5384IMG_5389 IMG_5392

Wow

Works great

Ahhhhhhhhhhh

What a huge collection of balls! More balls than tikis!! That air conditioner is going to enable so many more tiki projects and that's terrific.

Hi Wendy

Nice to be cool again

Shipping off golf balls to my unka in Florida

Ok

Time to start working on the next walking stick:

IMG_5488IMG_5489

I love the "where you found them" photos. You uncle is a lucky man. The stick is cool and I'm glad you are too.

Sanded it to 500 grit

Started carving the top

Congratulations to your parents. They did well and can be proud of their "gang". Beautiful smiles men.

Started a quick project for my Blanton’s cork collection

The horse and jockey on the bottle stoppers are now a recognized trademark of Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon. The rich heritage and tradition of horses in Kentucky parallel that of bourbon. Beginning in 1999 a collector's edition set of eight different stoppers was produced. The set features a horse and jockey in different strides and poses resembling the stages of a horse race. Each stopper is marked with a single letter that spells Blanton's when the set has been completed.

IMG_6261IMG_6262IMG_6263

IMG_6258IMG_6259 IMG_6269

Everything fits OK, just need to clean it up, get it sanded, figure out the finish, and of course, find the rest of the missing letter corks

You need a finish line at the end. It's fun to see something I would never know existed. The hunt is the best part of the fun in collecting. Good luck.

Hi Wendy

I hear ya

I told a friend my plan, he gave me a few I was missing. Now I just need the “T”

I like the distressed look of the wood, had a few splits so I filled the cracks with superglue. Sanded it and put a few coats of Howard’s on it!

Made a second one for my sister-in-law

IMG_6312IMG_6315

IMG_6331IMG_6332

Wow, your collection is fun and almost finished. Will it be difficult to find the last one? eBay?

Missing the T

I’m looking at all the bars we visit to see if anyone has 1

IMG_6369IMG_6371

Little more on the walking stick

IMG_6377IMG_6379IMG_6380

Found another skull while hunting for golf balls today

IMG_6383IMG_6384IMG_6385

Great day

Wow, so many fun photos. You are an all-time champ at finding golf balls. I LOVE the ears on the walking stick. This is going to be darling. Talking about darling how fun to have a gorgeous wife who does fun poses for you. I have a fun husband who does the same.

Good food and drink to top off all the fun. The skull collection is very interesting. I hope you keep that going for years, the golf balls too.

Love the photos, Wendy

Thanks, Wendy. I think I’ll keep her. Not sure what I’ll end up doing with the skulls, kind of interesting, they might look neat in epoxy. Found 48 more today after work.IMG_6497

Wow!! We just saw this wall in Fort Bragg.

1000 (63)

You have a really fun place to walk with treasure all over the place.

Great pic Wendy

So one of my brothers started working on his whiskey bar. He came up with the bar name, time for me to make him a little gift

IMG_6548IMG_6539IMG_6540IMG_6544

This morning‘s finds, I did get surprised by a couple of giant coyotes on my hunt

IMG_6527

Lil coffee in the backyard after hunting, looks like they’re getting a little backed up, keep hitting balls in the bushes guys

IMG_6528IMG_6529IMG_6531

Funny photo, didn’t notice until later that it now looks like we have one 4 foot long dog IMG_6536

Here’s the stash! And I have given away about 500 so far IMG_6545

Love the Simon and Garfunkel song, the sign looks great so far. 4-foot-long dog photo is priceless. I love that you find so many balls. You've gotten so many it must be that no one was looking before you started. What a treasure trove. Today we looked at coyote skulls in a Natural History Museum. I love your skull collection. I'm looking forward to seeing more on your walking stick. Those ears are in my mind, they are darling.

Oh no I have the dreaded double post virus. Horrors.

I will have to look up Chatoyancy effect. I did notice how the wood grain lined up with the palm fronds behind it. Beautiful sign.

That's a MadDogMike mosaic table, isn't it? Beautiful. Cute tiny moai.

Skulls are looking so good. Another golf balls high score day!!! I hope you walk every day.

Good morning Wendy, thanks for stopping by, all the carving projects are fun, yes the skulls are coming along and all cleaned up. Today is fun includes:
