Jon sent me a sound byte. That sounds great & looks good. & who knew he could play the drums ? I never tried but I don't think you can up load a MOV here. MDM, any suggestions ? Good job. |

So Monday I was in the garage carving Spousal unit texted me Shower up, we have a flight to catch, we are off to Reno for 24 hrs “OK” Lol (Pics soon) |

Showered up, Grabbed the back pack, Off to the airport! Reno or bust Peppermill hotel TVs everywhere
Walked into the room and they had Dean Martin playing
Have a drink n hit the slots? Ok

Dinner
Great day 8 am got a text from Southwest, our 2pm flight cancelled, not they got us on a 9pm flight Ok Back to the fun Extended the room stay until 6 pm Giant TVs everywhere

Will carve thank you for pointing out the u tube video of hang10tiki playing the drum. Good sound and good skills! hang10tiki we have found so many tikis in Reno. In the past it was a favorite hunting ground. We even found a Frankoma War God there. Dan's parents always stayed at the Peppermill and we all loved the Waterfall buffet. Will- lol Wendy- we went to two antique malls, we didn’t find anything. You cleaned em out. The Peppermill was great, we will go back for sure. Next carving is of Hawaiian inspiration, on his hand and knees looking up. Gecko made bowls with a similar figure, you may have had 20 or so of those bowls, lol. G-man carved one in the past. Saw one in the Bishop museum. Little more this am: |

The bottom was not flat, bad saw job on my part Took him and several pieces of ash to a friends to make him and others flat He has a lathe I asked for a demo So, he took a piece of my ash and in 15 min made me a carving mallet Wow

A friend gave me the central stock that grows out of a yucca plant (I think once a year), I had no idea you could use these, once they dry out they are hard, but light Sanded it, stained it, sanded again, paracord handle, rubber stop, time for a walk
