Hello everybody! Thank you for this amount of reply and comment,it makes work my English ...

Wplugger thank for reply! I'm a jeweller since last week... I worked most of the pieces myself and found the remains at the bottom drawers of old, except for spring ball and the gold ware that I have ordered.

Well, it's spring time. And that means.... Allergy Season!

Got a couple of new things in the works, just haven't posted any pics. The mask looks good. You've got some nice tools there! Is that a steel mallot?? Do you use it like any other mallot?

C

Great job on the heart, very cleverly executed, good luck on the event it's going to be great for sure, with all that talent together in one place!

Hi Clarita! Thank's for the comp' and the support for the event!

Hi BigT, allergy season, damn... strongly summer! Can't wait your new work... Thank's for the comp' on the mask! In fact, it is my collaborative pieces for an other project... Other details soon.
For the mallet (mallot!?!) I use a brass mallet, very good sensation of weight, and a composite mallet lighter but very good for roughing. This one in the middle is made of ashtree, made by my father on his lathe, pretty but too light.

Well... New from the bench:

My wife's Hei Matau finally lashing with grenadill Hei Tiki:

Back view, the other hand...

In the sunset, just for the shade of wood...

An other guy in grenadill, first time I work with dremel in my carving for the Hei Matau and the shoulder tatoo.

Thank's for looking!
Have a nice day!

Jérôme.

Still Really love This guy Jerome, he Has to be one of my favorites by you.
Also Love that Lono and the Lowered area where you painted your Moniker is just Perfect!

L

Thank's again BenZ for the kind word! I, alas, made this Lono a little bit too quickly ... but so it is finished for the exhibition. With hindsight, I said that there are lots of things I should have done differently. I am greatly inspired by your work and that of seeksurf for this one. I still have quite a way to go. I hope the next will be better!

Wow Jerome, stellar work. I have been missing out on your posts. I love those sawhorses you have. Those look heavy duty! Might have to build some like that.

Sensei carver! You have the eye of the expert. Thank you!

Amazing work. (as always)

A

That whale is really cool! Where do you find your inspiration or are these your own designs? Very nice stuff.

B

Darn, it's been awhile since I've been here Jerome and I'm Really loving your new stuff, especially the "inspired Maori figure in a wooden whale tooth form" that I'm Really, Really, Envious of, but All your stuff is always excellent and in fact I need you and that Seeks guy to Stop carving Lono's, you're making it really hard on me to compete and keep up!! :o
Love the Shop Shots, beautiful work space, you KNOW what those photos do to me?

L

Lil' update on this thread before I go in the sun for some holiday next week...

Kon-Hemsby, thank's for support!

Amate, thank you also! I find inspiration through these forums, other website, also some books and sometimes it just comes ...

BenZ!!! "you're making it really hard on me to compete and keep up!" It's a joke?!?
I can not believe it especially when I see your latest work In particular with the delicacy of line and facial expressions ... Do not worry, you're far way ahead Sensei Carver. Thank's for comment!

I have not been too much to carving these last weeks, rather in exhibitions and mai tai, these are also things that go well! I still start a few things:

First, a little chip on a tiny panel Maori

some chiseling... Besides, the Tiki Tribe pendant, handcarved in walnut.

It is the first of a limited serie of eleven.

Have a nice day!

Jérôme.

T

Loves the Tiki Tribe pendant.

S

Well done! The flat board looks interesting.
