H

Nu ku is perfect, that's a nice butt on him.

This didn't take so long.

Hiltiki,
You say so many nice things to so many here,
including me. Thank you

N

wow...just wow. love it.

K

Incredible!!! One Kool Ku!

Hilda's right, he does have a nice butt. Did you model on yours?

You are definately one of the Ku masters on this site. Very nice.

Man!!!this guys rad,how big is he?

sweeet carve...looks like an actual historical relic......beautiful design

P

that's awesome Will....

Its bigger than it looks. Probably 3' tall, but almost as fat. The color of the wood is spectacular in Sun light. You really knocked it out of the Park!

Beautiful Ku Will!

N

3 ft!?!? Wow, that just makes it that much more impressive. I would have guessed around 22" - 24". Really amazing work.

That Ku is 28 in tall & 13 in thick.
From an old mango tree.

Next up is a gift for my new friend Hilda.
I'm so excited about this I pushed every thing else aside.
It's a Tiki spoon. But the new twist is
the lono is hanging on to the spoon.
His headdress towering to the sky. [sort-a]
It's palm, 48 in tall.

H

OMG!!!!!

Damn that was quick - last night is was just a hunk of wood with a bowl carved in it.

Great concept and am sure it will be one great looking Spoon Fed Lono. Curious if your making some sort of a base for it to stand on or if it will be mounted to a wall??

N

Looks like its going to be another awesome piece!

I want to see the bowl that you will shovel the food out of :)

P

Wow....

You just keep crankin' it up a notch Will.

That thing looks sick...

I'll have a spoonful of that medicine. Great carve will

I'd need a really big bowl of cereal to eat with that thing! Cool idea and looking really good-those are some deep cuts you made! doesn't even look like it was from a palm log anymore!

Keylo,
That's a good question.
It should be seen from both sides.
I was thinking guitar stand, or
the way ya display a plate type stand.
Ya could hang it & take it down to show it.
We should ask Hilda what kind of room she has
for it & how she wants to display it.

H

It can go either on the wall behind the bamboo bar or it can go on my fireplace hearth. This is very exciting.

T

I am in awe.

N

lookin really cool...cant wait to see it complete.

i love this one keep up the awesome work

Hilda,
Would you like your carving to be
dark like walnut or red wood or
light like blond & natural ?

N

NICE!! Coming along beautifully

H

Hard decision to make, I think I will go with red wood.

WC

Hildas Tiki spoon is done.
Next up, another Lono Tiki pepper grinder.
I guess I haven't gotten these out of my system yet.

P

Will, you are the man!

Between this & Tom's latest deal, you guys have me wanting to go find some shells....

H

What a fabulous piece, I just love it. Will, you are such a great carver and you are so imaginative. I have just the right place for this piece and I can't wait to see it in person. Thank you so much. As Ben would say I am happy, happy, happy.

Ah Jeff, Thanks but

Even when he's not here.

Well this may not look like much, but,
It grinds.

P

I just received my Christmas Tiki. It looks a hundred times better than in the picture if you can imagine that.
I am so happy and I appreciate this gift so much. Will, happy Holidays to you and your family. Thanks again.

Sweet stuff

Thanks Hang 10 & Big T.
Hilda,
It was a pleasure.

That looks very cool! and well balanced!

Here's an odd sort of in progress pic.

That would be useful to check your butt for a rash :D Will is that some spalting in the wood or a knot?

wow! buns-O-steel!!!!!!!

great work

P

Awesome as usual Will.

H

Looks like the body is looking for his head and the head is just laughing at him saying you are never going to find me cause you can't see me. Nice carve Will.

Cool stuff Will!!...but does that pepper grinder know his head from his tail? What type of wood is that? More mango?

WC

Hope you guys aren't tired of shell eyes already.
Cuz I bought a whole bag of them.

Next up
My bud gave me 4 table legs turned at the bottom
and one extra blank.
He likes moais.
When I feel good about the practice blank
I'll make foai moai just like it.
