There are good and bad days. Most people want to spend $100 or less and some of my stuff just can't go for that amount. I bargain frequently. |

I wonder - are you carving in shade or just sitting out in the middle of the parking lot? One of those pop up canopies might be a good investment! |

Under the shade of the Canary Island Palm. The Canopy may come some time, I just don't know if I want the hassle of setting it up, breaking it down and storing it |

He's definitely got a retro feel about him. I think he'd look good in a 60's style beach "Bachelor pad" next to a bikini clad girl on a pillow! Keep the Faith [ Edited by: Sunset Mike 2012-09-05 11:23 ] |

I dig the compliments! The Old School Vibe. Chisels, rasps, saws, Martin Denny, Exotica,Bamboo shacks, any wood you can find... just hook into the spirit and the Tiki just becomes... [ Edited by: Sunset Mike 2012-10-03 00:18 ] |

Saying Aloha to Art Snyder is hard. Good to see all of you there and see how much the man was really loved by so many. My carvings are very minute compared to his creation of a Paradise where we could go to escape. I have been so lucky to be a part of it. Remembered forever, Aloha until we meet again, Art. Sending a message in a bottle. Working 10- 14 hours day out here in the desert and looking for a place to carve in what little spare time I have. I have a carving in it's early stages sitting on the lift cart. Of course I miss my afternoons at Don's. The people who come by and say hi. The happy purchasers who give my creations a name and a soul. Hopefully, it won't be long. Some things make life a little more worth living. For me, artwork is a purpose. A business of happiness, inspiration and contribution. My envy to those active, my gratitude in knowing it isn't over yet. |
