Under the shade of the Canary Island Palm. The Canopy may come some time, I just don't know if I want the hassle of setting it up, breaking it down and storing it

I got the trimmings from a neighbors tree. I'm still trying to catch someone home so I can find out. It's nice looking stuff whatever it is, heavy and hard as well. In one way it doesn't much matter as it's a good looking work. I'll see what I can find out.

The Cypress wood can be really difficult to work with but will last ad infinitum!

Saying Aloha to Art Snyder is hard. Good to see all of you there and see how much the man was really loved by so many.

My carvings are very minute compared to his creation of a Paradise where we could go to escape. I have been so lucky to be a part of it. Remembered forever, Aloha until we meet again, Art.

Working 10- 14 hours day out here in the desert and looking for a place to carve in what little spare time I have. I have a carving in it's early stages sitting on the lift cart.

Of course I miss my afternoons at Don's. The people who come by and say hi. The happy purchasers who give my creations a name and a soul. Hopefully, it won't be long. Some things make life a little more worth living. For me, artwork is a purpose. A business of happiness, inspiration and contribution.

My envy to those active, my gratitude in knowing it isn't over yet.
