That's a beauty, good luck with the larger piece.

Woah, that is really lovely! I'd love to see it's eventual in-situ pictures. It is going to really make a space magical.

T

That last pepper grinder and panel - WOW

so how much weight do you think you took off with the holes you drilled in the bottom of the grinder?

looks like my last post of the year.
Better make it good.

Woops
It's backwards.
My bad.

Just your basic palm frond carvings
I hope I can find someone with a Tiki bar
named Ki'o Wai Lounge.

T

Awesome way to end the year Will.

What a conundrum! Well, if you can't find such a place let me know. I'll rename MY home bar.

Looking awesome Will! Can't wait to get them hung up in the bar...and the weather to improve to enjoy them in the bar.

Yup
U made it good

WC

Looks like my first post of the year.
Better make it good.

This is a lizard scull

Excellent as always Will, great use of a found item!

J

That little lizard skull is cool.

WC

Thank you all for your kind words.
Made another pendant
about as small as I can go.

T

Bravo Will! Love the one with the lizard skull too!

U kickin ars in 2020

I've been picking up snail shells & lizard sculls
& all kind of things in my yard.
I'm also liking PNG stuff lately.
That's how this pendant came together.

Very cool, where's the lizard skulls?

Thats a lot of work on a small piece Will, looks excellent!

Nice
I’ve also been liking da PNG art as of late

Cheers

So I picked up a couple of new logs.
This is how I haul them.

This is how I move them.

And this is where I put them.

Look,
I still have that 14 foot Moai I carved a year ago.
I'm still trying to give it to the city.
They are gagging on it.

Aww man I missed the hard work! They look excellent and perfect for what you intend.

DAMN!!! :o

That is some mighty timber Will.

WC

I never would’ve guessed that was 14 feet tall
:)

I've been muddling around with some Mahogany.
One bud gave me a Mahogany log of just heartwood.
Another bud milled it down to 2X2 in blanks.
Carves like a dream & the color, wow.

Nice
And walking the red carpet too

My girl tells me
when I carve something
like a pendant.
It reflects my mood.

H

Funny, I like.

WC

A nudder muddler.

Muddling Madness
Strong work Bruddah

Love it! Simple and striking! Can't wait to get a house so I can finally just start chopping up logs in my backyard

Thank you all.
Here's a sneak preview.
It's still in development but,
This could be the
Witco inspired palm frond pendant
we will be carving at my
carve class at Huklau this year.

Nice one teach

Look! I'm still here. I'm still carving, too.20211011_101536

Yes you are, I’m sure you have a lot to post from your last two years of carving

Cheers

Guess we all have some catching up to do. In Jan 20 I posted 2 logs & they're still laying in the same spot. I did do a lil carving on them since I last posted. T Rongo & his 3 sons & a fat tang.DSC02090DSC02091

I also did some pendants & a few frondsDSC02073DSC01912DSC01913DSC01943DSC01947DSC01962 (2)DSC01959DSC02066DSC02072pia's frond

Amazing work as always, I am lucky to own a few of your pieces.

Nice to hear from you Hilda. Thanks for your thoughts.

What a welcome site to see your work again, Will. Incredible work on those two monsters. LOVE the barrel base! I can't wait to see these in their forever homes.

Thanks for such kind words Mike. It's great to have some place to go with this stuff again.

Awesome sauce

Tiki Tom Tom is writing a book on home Tiki bars. He saw my stuff at Gator Robs World famous Canabal Loung in Beautyful Downtown Orlando. So, he came to Ft. Lauderdale & spent a few hours with me to see what I do. He posted this on his blog preluding his book. http://tikitomtom.com/2022/02/06/create-an-army-of-tikis/
