you are a busy guy - and those are some massive trees!

Those look like hardwood logs. Just looking at those makes my arthritis flare up. You must have hands made of steel!

AlohaStation posted on 11/30/2015

Those logs do make your trailer look small.

So I'm starting on this big guy.
It's a butt ugly log. It goes every way but straight.
It's the biggest log I've carved yet.
At around 4000 lbs I can't roll it.
I use the come along. I hook it to
one side or the other to roll it &
stay out of the way.

Thats massive! Carving something of that size is one of those things on my bucket list. Please share with us your insights as you progress.

It's a good X-Mas when I can carve in the morning.
This has been a chain saw event for about a week.
Today I took out a chisel & put it to work.

T
TheBigT posted on 12/26/2015

thats kicking a$$ will! i see i wasn't the only one carving for christmas. that's going to be massively heavy even when finished.

I've sent several cans full of saw dust
to the dump.
I should be bagging it up and selling them.
It's still a chain saw event &
I still can't roll it with out a come along.

H
hiltiki posted on 12/30/2015

Will, this looks like it is going to be a monumental piece.

I've got a few things here.
First off

Look at the top of the Lono headdress.
TCFW

I carved this for my bud over 10 yrs ago.
It's palm & lasted as long as it could out side.
It got torched for New Years eve.

Mammouth Will, the natural base and top really highlight the exceptional middle! The flaming tiki still had some life left though, and died a premature death in my opinion.
