I've got a few hip pieces with a similar style that I've been think'n bout having go at. Logs look'n pretty stable as well.

Remember my bud I carved the 4 table legs for? He's getting the coffee table together. It's no average coffee table. It holds everything from coffee to ammo. So he has requested an extra embellishment. He gave me the wood, it's walnut. About a foot long. 3/4 in thick.
