WillCarve is not of Facebook so I'll post this here for him...
Last year's craft symposiums were so popular - we are doing them again!!! After Will Anders' popular how to carve symposium - he'll be back this year with, "Carving a Palm Frond Pendant". Will's symposium sold out last year and will likely do the same in 2017!!! If you don't know Will Anders - you likely know his work!!! Symposiums on sale early March!!!

Tickets are on sale now at http://www.thehukilau.com

WC

Youser.
Thanks Tom.

Fresh off the press.
I did the first fitting today.
A few adjustments &
I'm ready for a test run.

Wicked cool Will!

Wow
This is going to be Awesome......

Coolness!

WC

Well it's up & running.
And it works.
This is more complicated than I thought.
It's not just a carving.
If a carving comes out a lil off or odd
I can always say "I planned it that way".
When the water is pouring out of the fountain
& on the floor.
It's hard to pass off.

Will that is remarkably cool!

U freekin stud

Awesome......

So for the Hukilau carve class I plan to
get everyone to carve a frond pendant.
I call this my minimalistic moai.
I figure I better know how to carve this so
I've been practicing it.
I have it down to an hour.

It takes me an hour just to find my tools.

Those look kool

Cy- funny
I was thinking the same thing
Then saw your post
:)

H

Love the design.

WC

Done with this.
So many small details.
I started it last year.
I moved it over to my buddies Tiki bar.
I most likely will take it to Hukilau.

Amazing bruddah
awesome

S

Your buddy is never letting you take that fountain from its' perfect surroundings will carve, so best forget about taking him to Hukilau.

Finished this guy last week.

Now I'm working on this M.O.A.F.
The mother of all fronds.
It's a lil more than 7 ft.
An alfa frond.

Now that's funny

When I saw that first pic I thought
"Wow, looks like a 7 footer"
It's lil
But the frond is a "7 footer"

Awesome

Here's the coco nuts I working on.
It takes them a while to dry out & shrivel up
like the one in the middle.
When they do they look better than
when I carved them.

Creepy and cool Will!

MOAF LOL

Those 'nuts are wat too cool Will!

H

fun :)

I have a request for a door pull.
I got a cypress pole & did a set
for double doors for practice.
The one for the store front is bigger.
They're 16in tall.

And I did another frond.

Made some more muddlers with Hukilau in mind.
You remember the minimalistic Ku
from the soap class last year &
the minimalistic Moai of this year carve class.
I have those guys down pat.

Love mine! Use it all the time. In fact, I might need you to have me make a friend for him.

Gotta love an unsolicited testimony
& a happy customer.
See da.
Thank you.

WC

HIROA NUI
The muddler.

Kinda makes me want to muddle sumptin

It was great seeing you Will at the Hukilau!!! we had a great time and a lot of fun being in your class. Never realized how fun the palm frond could be. getting the carving itch back and have projects to get back too.

Sweet!
That looks better than mine.
47 people in my carve class &
nobody lost a finger.
Thanks for being there.

Our new doorpull installed. Thanks Will for a great tiki.

Good job.
Great fit.
See,
you don't have a Tiki door till
there's a Tiki on it.
Thanks

This could be my most
condescending muddler yet.
And look who's getting it.

Instead of having a bad attitude he should be proud to be a muddler Will.

H

I think he is angry and he is just taking a moment to calm down, hehe.

He should be glad - he's coming to a good home, to hang out with his friend!

T

Those moai door handles are so awesome! Looks like hukilau was worth it if only for the carving class alone!

That's a muddler with attitude!!!

WC

You don't have a Tiki dog
if she doesn't have a Tiki.

:)

WC

You know it's not a Tiki purse,
if it doesn't have a Tiki on it.

WC

Tom & I scored some real good palm logs.
We stocked up.

T

Geez no kidding. My back hurts just from seeing this pic! :P

I've completed 3 frond requests
left over from Hukilau.

H

Just wow!!!
