World weary eyes. He is so sad that he's been treated badly even though he was here before the white man. Looks finished (carving), then the antlers. Then color. What is his height right now?

No more oil on your fingertips, or are you plucking your eyebrows with those tongs?

Heโ€™s 16 inches tall

The antlers will add 9 more inches

Time to texture the deer pelt

lol. No, the fish tongs are my eating utensil

Coffee time โ˜•๏ธ

Great size! the headdress will be something special as it was back in time.

Nice eating utensil. Fun meal out. Eggs are special. So are friends.

Wendy, I shouldโ€™ve sent it to you for painting.

Wow when I do so many posts at once I title it CATCHUP DAY.

The Indian is a true work of folk art. I do want you to get a few other colors of dye so that it's not all one color. Even still it's terrific.

The Halloween Pumpkin man is just darling. You painted him just fine.

Loved seeing all these photos so much I called my man in to enjoy them!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

The problem with stain on wood is that it bleeds into other areas you donโ€™t want the color to go

Didnโ€™t want to paint him, Iโ€™m not great at painting carvings, sometimes it makes them look plastic, so I went no stain and only used the Howardโ€™s wax!

Carnivore day 6

(Meat and eggs only)

Dinner:

I think you told me that one time before and I forgot. I hope I remember and don't keep harping on this!

Protein. Dan did Atkins for 3 years. The part that's hard is when you quit. We have been on a lifestyle change since January 2024, Dan's down 30+ pounds and I'm down 20+ pounds. I call it the See's Candy diet. We hope to stay on it for life even after we hit our goal weights.

Great about your weight success!

What is the seeโ€™s candy diet u speak of?

๐Ÿ˜†

We donโ€™t plan on going off the keto diet, thatโ€™s how well it works! Just doing this carnivore part for a month or so to try it.

Lunch yesterday : 8 eggs

Dinner: spicy sausage

My food pyramid is:

You are up early! Wow that's a great way to say you are upside down in how you eat. I'm on a statin for cholesterol so it wouldn't work for us.

See's diet. Walk 1 to 1 1/2 hours every day. Only eat a lunch, whatever you want, home or restaurant, the follow it with a few pieces of See's candy. We like Milk Chocolate Almond Buds, Dark chocolate Almonds best. Then at 2 PM a Tootsie Roll Pop as a treat. We can have a piece of fruit at night if we get really hungry. This has been very easy to do since January 2024.

I was on a statin, but no carbs cured my high cholesterol, so no longer. Plus it really only benefits the drug companies who sell it. New studies show it can extend your life (by 3-5 days) not worth it to me.

Glad you have a routine that works for you!

Thatโ€™s great you are skipping breakfast

It is what itโ€™s called: breakfast (breaks your fast)

You should check out this book on exactly what you are doing: intermittent fasting

(After all we are not cows that need to graze all day)

IMG_2362

Lunch time:

IMG_2355IMG_2356IMG_2358

Interesting about the statins. Dan's cardiologist put him on one even though he's never had a cholesterol problem. My doctor put me on one since I did. I'll have to read more.

I've loved candy all my life so this works for us. We average 16 hours without food each day. I hope we are all successful in our goals.

Keep on carving! I've started the next Wish List painting.

We are all different, so if we find what works for us then we all win. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Keep it up

Cheers

Amazing dinner last night:

Iโ€™m not sure if this piece of wood is thick enough, but I will see if I canโ€™t make it work, how about a deer skull?!?

IMG_2414IMG_2417

Lunch, eight eggs, a pound of steak, and butter, of course

IMG_2426

What a load of eye candy! I love cooking scallops. $145 per person or for 2? I love any skulls. That would be cool. Have you been to Home Depoe or Lowes? They have more Halloween then at any Spirit Halloween. Las Vegas has had some fun venues. We were there once for an event a zillion years ago.

Keep having fun.

PS we signed up for a cancer screening research study with 50,000 others. For the next 3 years if they get a positive from our blood draws, they notify our doctors.

145.00 total. Plus the tower

Yes, they have a ton of Halloween stuff out

Hope the screening goes well.

Only ate once today. Not hungry!!!

Started this today too:

IMG_2442IMG_2443

Good deal! Love the eyes and nose!

Thanks, Wendy

Last meal 24 hours ago, time for a pound of smoked salmon

IMG_2455

Well, why not have three carvings going at the same time!!!
