Kirby, those are terrific!! The added tiki is just the right touch. But by far the one I love the most is the one with the tiki holding the torch facing the sunset. Very good stuff.

heya kirb,

I'm totally diggin' your surrealistic tropical paradise pictures - very cool.

Also I REALLY like the border on that last tiki mask painting - the highlights and the bold color really make it stand out. That wood grain is cool too...nice art and glad to hear that you got some hangin' and sellin. that's always a nice thing!

I just thought it was funny. If its insults that he/she wants to dish out, let him/her, at least there poetic. But to fit in here most artists need to incorperate a lil tiki in there art so i deside to help him out a bit...

Fetish, your analogy is poor. The relationship between the pairs doesn't match. A more apt analogy might be:

As vision requires sight, art requires an easel

Keep trying though. As with most newbies here in Creating Tiki, your work should improve by leaps and bounds. And we're always here to offer constructive criticism.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kirby and his girlfriend Polly at Dr. Z's house last night. Kirby is a real nice guy. He brought one of his paintings with him (for Z's Casaway Lounge & Casino) and it even looks better in person. He also brought some of his tiki pendants he has been working on. He let me pick one out so I thought I'd post it here.
