Well, I've been working on some little NEW pieces for the...... Where i'll be selling MUGS/PRINTS/PAINTINGS/and DRAWERINGS! Here's some little 5x5 canvases I had (my wife bought em for my b-day!) Guaranteed i will be selling these cheaper than SHAG! "sad Boy" "native Boy" here's a detail of the sides.... and here's all 5-some finished-some almost.... also finished a "Cannibal Hut" cutaway view for all those curious about Cannibal living quarters.... Note the well-crafted bamboo Ben frame! Classic! in the attic above, i used the fellows on the dremel piece as inspiration! here's the Ground floor Room,with the owner enjoying a meal.. and here's the storage room... Also started a "King of Cannibal Island" for the Tiki Magazine Art Show in November..The dremelled piece will be too SKINNY to depict a savage gluttonous Cannibal king,soooooooo I mixed ink and gesso and slopped it over this lame-o thrift store barren landscape and decided to give it a new life... After the gesso dried,i sketched out the main elements with a water soluble pencil,then proceeded to alternate between ink washes and gouache....Here it is so far.... Here's some details to show ya how i build up textures and lighting.... He's got a great snarl! BUFF! here's a shot under his bench... that's it for today! Thanks for peeping!
