Awesome work LLT, the variety in your recent work hasnt resulted in a lesser quality at all. And such a variety of mediums as well! one complaint though - catching up on your thread after a while takes too long and causes sensory overload and brain malfunction!!! |

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY OVERCOME..... TikiThomas-you never showed up at the CHOP! GOGO! harro! Variety is le spice of life... LOL! Robb
Whaddafudge is that? Anyways, did some backgrounds for the CHOP at Babalus this first one vibrated with a warm beachy feel... "Summer Shorebreak" this one i sketched out in a sepia water-soluble pencil "the Guardians" Sometimes the fabric print styled ones "the Commotion" and my favorite of the session... "Jungle Cry" the sun has a kind of Blast-off sequenced take-off next one is an acrylic on unprimed wood.. and lastly.. Here's a closeup of him waving hello or goodbye!:) And remember

All four of these latest are wonderful, but I have to say "The Guardians" does it for me. Bold, balanced-but-not-symmetrical, traditional with a fresh accomplishment, little bit sly, and fun. Everything I enjoy finding in a Ruzic work. Go man, go. SOK |

Thanks Ben! He's gonna burn the edges-mount em on wood and clearcoat em! Did a few BIGGER drawings (fergot the size...some European measurment) Here's a fun little simple one Here's a drawing where a petroglyph has been stylized into a character or characters.... Here's some studies for Tiki Moderne Abstract tikis Also attempted to simplify/revisit the Cannibal King detail Also, been working on the whole FEAST theme.. "Feast Day" the next one has four of my little Moai friends jaunting along... some details.... and this last one,a little deeper in the jungle I like how this one has a Hawaiian,a Maori, and an Rapa Nuin (is that how you say it? Rapa "New-ee-en"? So many stories pop up when i look at their attitudes and body language.. and just so you don't think i dropped the paintings entirely... That's it for now kind family...... Again, amazing new pieces! You're knocking this stuff out so fast you're gonna have to make a lay-a-way box with my name on it and just start tossing finished pieces into it. :D (I can make down-payments in Blue-Chip stamps, tiki mugs, Happy Meal toys, balls of twine, buttons, marbles, samolians and occasionally, dollars. I could also try to set you up with one of these.) BTW - totally unrelated. [ Edited by: LOL Tiki 2008-11-30 13:32 ] |

Ooooooh, diggin' that piece on the left! Boy, you're right about the mats. It's that hy falootin, reel arteest, metric sized paper that he uses. :P I couldn't do it right myself so I took mine to a framer and had them float the art between the mat and glass. I should learn how to do it myself; I'd rather spend the money on the art than the framing. |

Dood - Thanks for the scoop on the mounting! Hi-Falootin - I'm bringing Hillbilly back. I'll be the Bosko of this new movement; I'm gunna start making Jed Clampett mugs and Cement Pond scorpion bowls. And each will have a signature drink like "Black Gold" and "Texas Tea". Maybe I can get Squid to sculpt me up a "Granny's Shrunkin Head" bowl/mug/thing and fill it with a "Critter Cocktail". And Jeff Berry can write a book - we'll call it "Hooch Hunt". And then... well, maybe not. BTW - PM'd ya. |
