Another beauty piece 4wd. I'm sure most of us got the bug to carve tikis after a visit to the islands and though I love where I live, I'm envious of the ability to carve in the warmth of the Hawaiian climate! Keep the updates coming!

This is all I got done for this month.

Another piece of the driftwood log that I took off the beach.
These guys are 3 feet tall. I carved them as one tiki, then split the log down the middle to get two!

Big thumbs up on everything!

One log enter
Two Tikis leave

Very cool bruddah

Looking Good 4WD!

A new one!
A small Marquesan style, just 19" tall, carved out of Lychee wood.
Lychee is a fruit tree, but this wood is very dense and heavy, and has a wax or soap feel to it. It has a orange/red color to it, which I exaggerated with a red oak stain.

Great stuff Bill , looks like great timber .

Very nice. Love the color.

I like the color as well. I also like the grains on that wood, they really give him character. Awesome job as usual!

I like the article on you in the Tiki Magazine. Good job, I hope it brings you lots of business! All of you tikis are amazing!

Damn, I didn't think I was slacking, but 2 months since the last Tiki!?! I gotta check my records!
Thank you all for the props on the article. My 15 minutes has now passed!

I just finished this one today. And when I say finished, that's without my normal amount of sanding and staining. The client requested that as a way to get maximum size and decoration for his dollar.
It's 5' tall, carved from another driftwood log from my boneyard on the shore of the Kauai City of Refuge.

H

Very nice Bill, your carvings are always so well proportioned and well designed.

I think your 15 minutes occurs with every carving. I soooo wish I could snag another one from you for my entry way....maybe next year. How much does it cost to ship a 6 foot Tiki to Sacramento anyway?

4

Thanks Hilda, thanks Marlene!
Marlene, I bet the shipping is less than you might fear.

Another great carve!

T

Wow. And also, WOW. I'm sure he definitely got his money's worth! Very inspiring work.

HT

DIG IT!
