thanks I needed a secret warehouse stash of rum. Im painting RIGHT NOW I bet I can post pic's of my swap piece by tomorow!

WOW! You just keep getting better! I've got to find a way to get a Dawn original for my lounge. Maybe I could trade you something that is just as valuable. How are you set for kidneys?

Dawn-
I've just added you to our list of artists I want to purchase art from for our home tiki bar! Now all we need to do is find the right house!

yawn!

hey Smacktalker!
where's all that art you been a'promisin?

don't write checks you can't cash,sistah!

cough up the goods!

insert useful stereotypical phrase here..

"I've got to find a way to get a Dawn original for my lounge."

A lotta folks don't know this about Sophista-tiki because she's such a shy lil creature: She's more than willing to trade her artwork for a conveniently predetermined amount of your cash.

is Dawn dead?

Hope not!

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!?

Im not dead yet! although the construction marathon has just about killed me. I just rented out the Bamboo Grove for the next couple of months so I had to take a detour and complete a few projects to make it suitable for long term imhabitation.
BUT.... I have also been painting and have about 12 pieces in various stages on my desk RIGHT NOW. The swap piece will be posted just in time for the deadline. Then I have to whip out a burfday present for Dogbytes. NOthing is ready to be posted yet keep yur pants on ..... PLEASE

SIGH

Too Late!

I spent the better part of the last 2 days working on this tapa

which is actually 100 small boxes each hand decorated with tapa

Each of these boxes is a raffle ticket and contains

a small painting

and a tiki

now that Ive made all the parts I can start shipping out the ticket/art to those who have purchased their chance to win this

Very cool little boxes and tikis!!

Cool idea and well executed Dawn. Nice prize!

the mini lair is headed to Oasis. I cant believe I actually pulled it off. now Ive got 4 1/2 days to finish as many paintings as possible.

Impressive!

You seriously rock.

But the pics of all those boxes with endless repetitions of the same design almost sent me back to The Home.

Dawn, Really cool stuff there I love your style!
I always thought the deck was the most important part of the house/hut.
I had a good time hang'n with you at Oasis. MP

Clarita. So nice to hear from you I love those timber bamboo pieces you've been doing.
Kin Kin, You will be hanging on the deck soon enough. I just got something REALLY good for the bowl and I got a yrs supply of rum for my birthday.
MP It was a pleasure getting to spend some time with you and your family.
heres another pic of the deck. this was for my birthday party last weekend

T

Very cool railing!!

P

Really nice, Dawn!
I feel relaxed just looking at that sunny, tropical oasis!
do you have an outdoor pole heater for after the 20 minutes or so we have left of summer here in the northwest?

According to the weather this morning it will be 80 through next week. and as someone who grew up in the Pacific NW, ( MT ,even colder) and have had to spend winter days working outside, its not that cold, never the less, I dont hang out on the deck in the rain. But I will next yr when it has a cover.

Dawn - your deck railings are mind-blowing. STUNNING DESIGN. Wow!!

I'm goin after (bamboo) rails on a Crazy Train!!!

B

Haven't heard from you in a while - how's the painting going?

Truly wunnerful!
Jonesy is gonna be stoked with your over-the-top Swap piece!

You do pop-up menus RIGHT!
HulaHula NEEDS some pop-up menus NOW!

:)

it's hard to see...
but did you use some of those Highlarious names
we were battin around with DougHorne?
:)

Kinny, I did use the special drink names. I will be inking in that part today. I purposely did not show the specifics so that there will be a surprise when Jonesy get the piece. The pupu platter menu is hee-sterical. sooo wrong!

Dawn, that's looking incredible!

Jonesey is one dude to get such a killer work of art.

Love the pop up!
