Thanks, Swamp Fire. This one's digital, but I'm a pinstriper and like to paint too, so I really like to pull the One-Shot enamel out from time to time as well.

Diggin the Voodoo you do, Sam. That buggah has himself a crazy set of chompers and a mean set of horns.
The color combo is tasty too. It never hurts to keep the local Voodoo Daddy happy and I bet yours is stoked right now.
Mahalo for the post.
Chongolio

Thank you, Chongo. After all, what's a voodoo daddy without a good set of choppers? :)

Here's the latest on found metal - "Hypnotiki". I guess I had a little crazy spell, and this was the result...

Damn Sam,
I'd drink out of that if it were a mug. hint hint. :)

That is one of my favorites , someone should put it to form on wood, That is if Sam didnt mind. Keep 'em coming, because they deserved to be shared and drooled upon by all the masses.

Thank you both, Turbogod and rodeotiki. Mug, hmmm? hmmmmmmm.

I appreciate the kind words.

K

Man that is a cool one Sam!!! I think a mug is a great idea! I think a Gambino series of mugs would be a great addition to Tiki Farm's artist collection.

Scotty

Great job Sam and a great idea. You do some nice work. What about a hypnotiki pendant? You'll have everyone obeying your every command.

Thank you, Kanaka. I'm all for doing a mug or 2. I'll see what Holden has to say....

Swamp Fire, thanks a bunch. That means a lot coming from an artist of your caliber. Maybe I'll hit up one of the fine TC carvers to do a pendant. There's certainly no shortage of gifted carvers here...

Terrific as always. My caffine-shakey hands could never create such clean lines. You never cease to amaze me.

I love the cyclops-hipno-tiki, Sam. You are a truly creative guy to come up with so much good original stuff.

I am getting sleepy......
Must create tiki.....

.....and consume rum drinks....
I hear and obey, master

Dig the cyclops Sam, Totally awesome stuff Bro. Love the mug idea too. Just get Holden to look into the eye of the Hypno tiki. He will be convinced. Side effects include drowsiness.

Chongolio J Fudd, I own a mansion and a yacht.

Thanks, finkdaddy, AA and Chongo. I really appreciate the compliments.

By the way, Chongo, I'm a huge fan of those good old Looney Tunes. I always liked the one when Daffy Duck sells Elmer Fudd all of the latest gadgets for his home, but destroys the home in the process...You know, "NEVER, EVER press the red button!"

(...I got off on a tangent there, but I'm back now...).

What's the matter Sam, you weren't happy just making super-cool creations? You had to go and raise the bar into orbit.

And I agree. You need to have a series of mugs.

B

I Really love this new one Sam. He kinda looks like the inside of my brain right now. Definately would look great in wood,, say Pendant size??

Thank you, Raffertiki and Ben. The kind words from you and the others are like fuel for me.
Raffertiki, thanks for reinforcing the mug idea too. I'm for that too. :)
Ben, I'd love to see a Benzart pendant of it. Do it to it!

B

Sam You might just see that.

Here's an illustration I recently finished for http://www.tikifreaks.com ...

I am afraid to think whats inside the coat.. kinda got the godfather thing going for him. As always another icredible piece from the master. Thanks for sharing Sam.
I think someone needs to do a mural of Sams characters in their basement, thats is with his blessing of course.

Real nice piece Sam. Love the colors and the type treatment. Curious how Tiki Freaks is using it?

beautiful work, sam!

You (or are they) making prints of this one?

B

Sam the Blue Moai is great. What an attitude. Nobody is gonna mess with that guy. You are going to be pretty Famous if you don't cut this out!

Much appreciated for the kind words, rodeotiki, Swamp Fire, Polynesiac and Ben. Yes, Tikifreaks will be making prints of this design, most likely 8x10. I'm not sure when they will begin offering them, but the email address is [email protected] .

Yeah, more great Tiki art from The man they call Sam Gambino.
I imagine Bamzeno will be letting y'all know whats he has planned for Sam's art in the near future.
I will say this though, I am also working on a Blue Moai illustration for Tiki Freaks and I hear there may be a few more of us involved with Bamzeno's project.

Thanks, Chongo. I'm looking forward to seeing yours. The suspense is building! :)

Here's an old wooden bowl from St. Martin (according to the bottom of it) that I found. I just felt that it was screaming to be turned into a tiki item!

http://www.samgambino.com

real nice Sam....the colors jump out...
what a fun day for "creating tiki" posts!

B

Hey Sam, Nice tikistriping.. Good to see you showing some new pieces, miss that. I amy have to dig up some bowls or trays for you!
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice as always. Man, your lines are so clean and the colors just pop! Always love your stuff.

NIce bowl! I dig your use of the two colors...man you always do a nice job.

Forgot about that tikifreaks print...going there now...

Thanks for the kind words, congatiki, Ben, finkdaddy and Polynesiac. I really appreciate it. It's not a real complex job, but I thought that doing it simple would compliment the bowl somewhat and keep the retro look.

Nice treatment and restraint. It looks vintage.

M

Wow, when I first looked at it, I thought you had rigged up neon tubes inside the bowl! Looks awesome.

Mahalo

Thank you Raffertiki and McTiki. That's my good ol' Signpainter's 1-Shot enamel on it.

Here's some hula girl ad art I did for Gecko. Hope you like it...

Very cool!! Can we get t-shits of that one??

B

Sam, That is WAAY Cool. Gecok is SO Fortunate to have had you do that piece for him, its So perfect. It Says Gecko through and through. Very nice. Oh yes I want a t-shit of that one too. Is the phone # correct, I thought it was 3084??/
(sorry Moki)

OH MY GOD, SAM!

that totally screams gambino/gecko! Seriously, that is one very fine painting that promotes some more very fine art.

Your work is incredible and is always inspiring, thanks for sharing

sweeeeeet, dudes.

Thanks for your kind words, Moki, Benzart, Polynesiac and J$. Moki, I'll have to see if Gecko wants to make shirts out of it. It's really his call since his name is on the artwork. Ben, I hope the number's right! I think he's already taken it to have some literature printed :) One good thing is that it's a digital illustration, so it shouldn't be too hard to change if it is wrong. I am working on another gold leaf piece now, but this one is not tiki-related. I will post it here on TC anyhow because I like to get all of your feedback. I really appreciate it!

As stated before in regards to your work Sam, Simply inrcedible .

I was joking about the #

Thank you, rodeotiki. I appreciate the compliment! Ben, you had me going there because it's happened in the past! :)

Here's a new piece "Lucky Luciano in Gold" - gold leaf and enamel on metal. Not exactly a tiki piece, but thought I'd post anyhow.
