thanks bro... had a fridge, outlets, a sink, the whole 9 yards....

so the sunset tiki party was cool.... sold a few things, hooked up with a new chick, and may have cleared the way for a deal for my wedding tikis at the post card inn, so I'd say it was a success...

next stop, the hukilau...

2 weekends in a row of non-stop drinking and tiki madness, and I feel about as shot-out as a rusty cannoball...

I am so ready to just go home, hug my dog, and lay on the couch for like 2 days...

so, a good friend of mine that I've known almost 30 years was killed tragically in an elevator accident a few months ago. This is his son Ethan. He's a good kid, he's out of school, and doesn't have a lot to do, so he's gonna start coming over & helpin' out some...make a few tikis. His dad really loved my stuff, so I think he'd be stoked about this arrangement...

and I'm back on the big lono...

I heard that...I carved my first mallet out of a piece of cottonwood...kind of wish I would have saved it. Probably got a bigger return on that carve than all the others.

Grab a chunk of wood and make one!! Doesn't need to be round, just hard and heavy (or light, or in between)! I use the 20oz urethane mallet myself, but have made others for more specific uses.

You guys made me think about and actually look at the mallets I use. You can tell where the sweet spots are.
