The Ku will fit perfectly on the opposite side.

Excellent work Dude.

Great work as usual. I dig the Maori Moai. Again, thanks for taking the time to share and inspire.

Cheers Sam

P

made this yesterday...

Sweet carve. Love the "looming" aspect in the piece.

P

ok, well here is a neat tiki bar sign I made from a driftwood plank that I recovered from one of the spoil islands....

the pics don't show the patina & roughness, but it still photos well.

I'm proud of it. :)

P

surf soul stickers!

Cool stuff as allways Jeff. That sign turned out pretty cool

P

what I've been working on for Hukilau...

fence-plank tikis...

:)

WC

That is so cool !
How much for an 8 ft fence around my yard ?
With a matching gate.
On both sides, ya know, shadow box.

P

Lol...

yeah, they're fun little pieces... people seem to love 'em...

price point is low, so they're easy to "impulse buy"...

P

DAMNED DOUBLE POSTS!!! lol...

C

Me like Tiki-fence, a lot :)

P

thank you Clarita... I like all your stuff.. :)

here's a cypress mini ku I did for a neighbor's pool area last week..

P

oh yeah, and here's the little driftwood table I made for mom...

it was gorgeous inside there... :)

P

my new toy....

these aren't cheap, but they're absolutely dreamy to use...

my friend has a slightly larger version that DOESN'T have the smaller bar & chain, and weighed considerably more... but I fell in love with it when I borrowed it (I busted the sprocket on the makita)...

but this weighs less than half of what the makita electric weighs, and comes with that little carving-type bar & thinner chain from the factory.. I think it literally weighs like, 5 lbs wet... I could swing thing thing for hours on end... and replacement chains are 20 bucks and they carry 'em up the street at the shop where I got the saw.

I am very stoked right now... and I think I'm ready to "get back on the horse"...

My dad passed a couple months ago, had some money issues, equipment issues, etc., which kinda kicked my ass there for a bit, and I went a little dormant... but I'm done with all that shit, and I'm back.

So stand clear folks... the machine is fixed, and I'm about to run it wide open from here til hukilau...

ooh, ahh, that is bitchen. My Stihl just stopped pumping oil to the chain so I will go get me one of those. Glad you are back in the saddle Jeff!

T

Love my Echo tree saw.
My carving tip was cold fired whatever that means.
Yours sounds like it weighs less.

Nice restroom sign.

P

and the verdict?

it smokes the makita electric like a joint. lighter, no cord, easier better ergonomics, etc.

I am very happy with this purchase...

I'll have it with me at the huki if you guys wanna check it out... :)

D

I was just about to ask if you had gotten it. I'm saving my pennies for one - there's a dealer down the street, looks like they're about $450 around here. Seems that Stihl doesn't do internet sales. Let us know your thoughts on it as you use it more...

Glad you're back in the saddle.

Cheers...

P

yeah, between the chain lube, 2 stroke oil & an extra chain & sales tax it was like $540 out the door..

but it is dreamy to use... wow...

it's SO light. my buddy who does a lot of tree-climbing tree work came over last night, and when he picked it up he literally started laughing... he was like "you've gotta be kidding me... it feels like a TOY!!!"

Lol...

Hey nice new toy!! i want to have one too!

P

his grades getting better and he's not acting like an ass in school anymore.

I am so proud of this kid, on so many levels...

P

the above pictured tikis were made into torches for a buddy's back porch...
